Eating is good but......................

The more you eat, the more energy you have. Parents want their children to eat before going to school in order that they have energy that helps them absorb lessons better. What about grown up people? I noticed some of my coworkers that after having their meals, they soon doze on and off at their desk, causing their work unfinished or finished but not on time. For the last 10 days, I have done fasting. What I mean here is that I still eat during evening and start fasting again early in the morning till sunset. There are articles in the internet about the benefit of fasting. You can check it out. Regular eating is good but remember not to miss out on work out routines, at least 3 times a week, each lasting for 40 minutes.

Fasting is good as long as one's body is prepared mentally and physically. It could be dangerous if one is not prepared.

You are absolutely right, toni. I taught my kids to fast only for a few hours, usually 6 to 7 hours a day. The normal fasting time is 14 hours starting from 4:30 am to 18 pm. At night, we eat and drink as usual. I heard some people fasting for 24 hours and only drink water. That can dangerous if you are not prepared for it.

Yanza, eating too much indeed is not good for our health. Before when i was still studying, i tend to eat quite a lot. Until one day, i discovered that my feet gets swollen easily whenever i sit. Then from that day onwards, i started to eat less. My doctor had advised me to try my best to cut-down as much weight as possible. Nowadays, i only eat whenever i feel hungry. most of the time, i prefer to drink more water than eating. Before, i ever do a few times fasting in a year but not now. Because i have serious gastric problem.

Great myfb2009. I love the way you control your weight. How did you fast? I mean, did you fast only in the daytime and still ate at night?

That's a great tip! I'll study about fasting and I'll graduate about it today . I became Vegan for animals but ended up learning about vitamins and nutrition like never before and almost could cut conservants and addictives from my diet, just because I didn't know about those things before. One thing led to another and even became a person that works out, today I love these types of things, I do yoga and this fasting seems very appealing.

What kind of fasting do you do, water fasting or fruit? I do neither. I am away from all foods and drinks during the day (14 hours).

I don't care if my children have a very early breakfast before they go to school. Same with me and my elderly/adult children. It's way more important to eat when you are hungry as to eat out of a habit (and still feel hungry in between and eat extra). Most people nowadays are way too fat and this if because of all those forced meals. It's also not said that food gives you more energy .. btw more energy means that it's too much and it will be turned into fat! Most people have breakfast just before they leave to school/work. Digesting food costs a lot of energy and it makes you sleepy! So there is no energy at all at those moments and you are surely not alert at all.

My children have something to eat before they go to school. I am worried if they have nothing to eat. My wife is a lot worried about it. She's the one who's always busy cooking breakfast for the kids. I do fasting twice or three days in a week. I don't eat nor drink during the day (about 14 hours). When the sun sets, I break my fast and start eating and drinking as usual.

A lot of people eat a far to big lunch and that will make you drowsy on the job afterwards. Fasting occasionally is actually good for you. I don't do well fasting during the day and breaking the fast in the evening. The food will give me energy and I'll have trouble sleeping. I don't worry about working out three times a week. I cycle almost every day as transportation. Exercise is just a part of my normal lifestyle. Makes it easier not having to schedule it in somewhere.

You must be healthy and fit. I know cyclists have strong and healthy bodies.
