Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo, widow of former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, has answered clamors for her to follow in her late husband's footsteps. Robredo filed her certificate of candidacy for Camarines Sur third district representative at the local Commission on Elections office, reports on Friday said. I think she is qualified for the post and that she said that she is just continuing what her late husband started. Well, I just hope she will...

I thought she ain't running for any public office post? She said in an interview that you dont need to be in a position to help people, so what happened Mrs. Robredo? Oh well, Im not so much surprised. I just hope that if she wins, she'll follow his husband's footprints.

Am happy that there would be a fresh new candidate in our congressional district. Our district is literally controlled over by a political dynasty and even up to now they still hold on to our place in a very tight grip since they control the province as well as our congressional district. I think it is high time someone stood up with them. Atty. Leni might be the quite type of a person but I know she has been working silently under an NGO in our place helping Jesse Robredo's advocacy in a private way. Now is the time for her to continue her husband's legacy. Although am a bit sad for her daughters who were caught by surprise by their mother's abrupt decision but I think it is a necessary thing to do for my place who is really looking for a new leader to continue on.

Well, there is no question that Atty. Leni Robredo is qualified to become a Congresswoman. It is through the clamor of the people that she was forced to run for Congress. I hope she will be able to outdo what her husband has done.

She really is a woman of courage. I think she is a good ticket for the position as her late husband's is a former mayor. Of course she learned what her husband did for their town. if ever she decides to run for the senate I'm going to vote her simply because I learned their story, they had only very simple way of life. You can't really noticed they are in the politics. Good to hear she decides to run this coming election.
