I know most dogs are good as pet. They are cute and really man's best friend... But I want to know the best. Any suggestions? I prefer big dogs and ever since I would like to have great dane but it's expensive plus the dog food I need to provide. So, right now I want to take care a little dog that is good in guarding house (let say could be trained to bark to strangers), cute and lively, not choosy in food hmmm what else. In my mind, I would like to have lhasa apso because it is cheaper here than to buy a beagle which I prefer too. I'm looking at pomeranian but it looks like it is bigger than lhasa apso. I want small dog but not as small as chihuahua. I honestly don't find them cute (sorry for chihuahua lovers).

All dogs will bark when watching the house. Both of mine do. One is saying hay there's a stranger. Is he good or bad. The other is saying oh boy stranger.. I want a belly rub. The best is an electronic burglar alarm. Whatever dog you get, it's a huge commitment. Dogs live about 15 years or so. The smaller the dog, the longer they live. Little dogs can live for 20 years. Food is only one of the expenses. The best food you can afford is always in order. If you dog needs special food for a medical condition, you have to give it to them. They also need to see the vet every year. They need to be spayed or neutered. They need shots, de-worming. If they have long fur, it need combing every day. Maybe trims at a groomer. No matter what size dog you pick, you need to walk it every day. If you have a yard and a lazy dog, you can walk it once a day, but if you don't you will need 3 times a day.It doesn't matter how tiered you are. Dogs need to walk. What are your plans in 10 years? If you are single, you will have to find a husband who loves dogs. The dog came first. It is your lifetime responsibility just like a baby would be.

well I would have suggested pomeranian but since you don't want it than i think better you go for lahsa since they cheap there in your place too. I love lahsa. They are very cute and small dogs and make a good show piece . So go for it. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
