I was at work this afternoon, now I agreed to take a few shifts as the other girl quiet on them. I happen to walk by and hear them saying why can't she do it during the day, and the manager goes I think she works at Canada Post during teh day time. Whe I had walked by they stopped talking, then when I walked away they started again.

I don't guess they've heard of just asking you directly have they? I don't like it when people talk about me, especially at work. It effects my work after I've overheard or thought I've overheard something. They should just be glad you offered to take her shifts.

Or pull up your file, I mean they can do that and see that you put where you work and all of that. The fact they were quiet when you walked by too, it'd make me nervous.

Exactly, it says right on my resume, and paperwork I work elsewhere. I told them that I wasnt willing to leave my day job since it pays me double what they do, or my seasonal job. I'm not willing to take that risk, I mean I was fired from my last job after 8 years so I like to have number of jobs to fall back on. Exactly, I mean if I had walked by they could of asked. Also, the other girl pointed out that they ripped my name off the mailboxes and took everything out of my mailbox. But she also pointed out that the girl that quiet name was still there, so they probably got us mixed up.

I don't like it when I know that people are talking about me behind my back because I just think that if you have a problem then you should be able to talk about it to their face. I think that there is something that is very immature about the type of people who can't talk to others and have to talk to other people about them. If you hear them talking about you again then I think that it would be a good idea for you to ask them to talk to your face next time, and hopefully this will shame them into being good people.

I agree, my old job they use to do this, and you heard it through the grapevine. I just happened to walk by and overheard them. Why not come ask me and not assume things.

So would you take full time hours if offered. It has seemed like your hours at your day job are really sporadic. You never know if you have work or not.

My day job I work 5 days a week Monday - Friday usually 2 - 4 hours. My sister hast taken a shift in a few weeks well even a month or so since she is working her other job for now. I get paid a lot more on my day job than other jobs, I get paid double at my day job (less work more money). I just like keeping my options open as this new job I;m still under 3 momnths, and they can fire me on the spot so I dont like putting my eggs all in 1 basket which is proabbly why I work so many jobs

It sounds to me like they wanted to see if you would be able to pick up shifts at other times during the day and if that is the case, the fact that they were talking about you is a good thing. This would mean that they know that they can depend on you and would ask you to pick up even more work if you had more hours of availability. Now, if I was to hear something adverse being said about me, I would confront someone, but I don't feel like this is the case at all here.

If they were talking about you it's really none of their business what your availability to work is. That's between you and a manager, not other employees. When you get hired there's an agreement on whatever times of the day you can work. Other employees have no business knowing that unless you were in a situation where they specifically asked you to take a shift but you said you can't because you have another job. People are so rude sometimes and it really gets to me. I think you work very hard..I always see your discussions about how you're working at all your different jobs. I would just ignore stupid people and let them think whatever they want, their opinion is useless.

Oh I'd hate that. I think I'd let them know I heard them and say if you want to know my business ask me.
