Women's nightmare

It's very difficult to be a woman. You have to maintain your figure, keep your skin clear, do hair removals and you could go on to a dozen list. So far among the 3 I have mentioned specifically, I am having troubles with pimple breakouts. It's a seasonal thing for me. Sometimes it's all clear, sometimes (just like now) they start popping out from nowhere. It takes a toll on me emotionally and financially because I jump from one brand of product(s) to another out of desperation. I've tried going to dermatologists paying for promo packages but of little help only. There is one product that actually made my hopes so fruitful but since maintenance is a must and I become a little bit lazy when everything turns okay already, it goes back to zero so I have to start all over again. So yeah, I am starting all over again and on the process of healing again. Hopefully everything goes back to normal.

If it's seasonal for you, maybe it has something to do with the hormonal changes you go through that is related to your period. You say you have found the product that works for you. It's good. But, you have to maintain it for it to work. Unfortunately for some, it requires more effort to have good skin. So, since you know that to be your case, it would need for you to maintain that habit.

I can't tell exactly but I usually breakout during Christmas season (but still not at all times) which is this time where the weather get a bit colder. I don't know. But come summer it starts to clear up with or without PMS-ing.

I have had severe acne. Unfortunately, it does affect your life. As long as you know that it is something that is not always in your control, you can start to understand the issue. There have been reasons given for the problem such as hormones, stress, allergies or whatever. It is good to see patterns in your skin changes so that you can have some kind of indication. Like maybe a pimple or two around menstruation. It is always a good idea to have a good skin care regimen and a good diet can't hurt. I find success with gentle cleansing, mild exfoliation, and a good moisturizer. Consider an antibacterial cleanser. That worked wonders for me for years. Also, be open to trying new products. If a product is no longer effective, there are many more to try. You really don't have to break the bank. But, always look for positive results.

If it's seasonal, then it may be a case of hormones and has nothing to do with your skin regimen. I used to have a lot of breakouts when I was a teenager, but that cleared when I started college and work. I also suggest to stay away from harsh chemicals that claim to help clear stubborn pimples. I recall I had a big one on my nose since my period was nearing and my office mates kept raving about this small tube that works wonders. I tried it and instead of having just one zit, they multiplied! I suggest you try only one soap, the gentlest, no perfume kind. Don't scrub your face because it only irritates the zits. Don't use make-up, exfoliants or astringents or toners until the zits clear. This is what I did and so far I haven't had any zits anymore.

I am using kojic soap which is included on the local brand that I bought. Sadly but true, I can't help but scratch when old skin tries to peel off then zits goes back again. I really need to handcuff my hands.

My skin has been terrible my whole life. I started getting pimples when I was about 8. My daughter is starting as well at the same age :( Nothing I do or have done ever changes my face condition. My skin is so dry it peels off like a sunburn and I have a lot of clogged pores all the time and pimples. Right now I dont have a man and so I just dont care anymore so I havent been shaving and dont intend to and omg my private areas itch so bad from not shaving and it growing out.

Well you should really look into your daily diet too (including your daughter) because we are what we eat. The proper skincare lineup is cleanse, tone, moisturize & exfoliate once or twice a week. If your skin type is dry then you must moisturize more often to keep your skin hydrated. You can also use mist sprays if you can't moisturize every now and then. You can try using korean products they are actually good in this kind of issues. As for the shaving thing I think we need that since we have our monthly periods. It is to keep ourselves clean & hygienic. Also continuous itching and scratching can lead to scarring and skin discolorations so you might want to prevent that. =)

My acne is hereditary my mother had it as well and still does. Her sisters and brothers had it and so do I and now my daughters is starting. Trust me we dont all eat the same stuff theres no way we would all have acne if its not hereditary. I put lotion on my face every morning and after my shower at night but it doesnt help the only thing that works but clogs up my skin is hydrocortizone cream. As far as the shaving down there goes I havent had a period for about 2 years from being on the depo shot. I've been off it since August but still havent started my period up again.

Have you tried aloe gels? It can hydrate your skin plus dries pimples. Or maybe try IPL sessions for acnes. I have tried those and after 1-2 days it's all dried up though I haven't gone back to the derm clinic where this service is being offered. My oily skin & pimples are a combination of genes & being a meat lover.

I would like to advise you against trying out "new" skincare products in desperation to clear your pimple breakouts which you have mentioned from your understanding is seasonal. To me, this is very risky and most of the time these products may solve clear your pimples but at the other side is causing certain damage to your skin's immunity and causing it to be more sensitive. Skincare to me should be a form of lifestyle where it must become a habit starting with healthy eating habits avoid eating foodstuffs that causes pimples excessively i.e. chocolates; drink more fluids to hydrate your body; include more fruits and vegetables in your diet; and adopt proper skincare like washing, applying less makeup, keep your face moisturize with toner and applying night cream at night when you sleep. Once in a while pamper yourself (once a month) visit a facial spa or applying face mask yourself (once a week). Prevention is better than cure also applies to your aspect of your life here. Don't wait until the problem surfaces then you start looking for solutions. Like tidying your room, if you have been tidying up daily then you will not find it difficult when you need to do some cleaning up.

I have local brand that works fine for me. It's just that I was not able to maintain. Also I read contents before trying it out. I do some of the things you've listed except eating veggies and wearing a makeup. I have supplements in replacement for veggies plus I really don't wear a makeup because I am a boyish type. The local brand that I use is a complete set from bar cleanser to night creams. Just counting days for a clearer skin since most of the zits have dried up. BTW, I breakout more on facial treatments so I'll skip that one. Lastly, my room has always been tidy.

I know when you are young those things are very important..but as you age things lose their importance....not totally as I like to keep myself up too....but I am not driven to try new hair styles.....or some new sort of nail polish etc. You become more comfortable with yourself.....so I hope things turn out the way you want them to be "normal".....the best part is still to come for you.

I believe it depends on how you really value your body regardless of age. My mom is on her 60's but she still uses some creams & go to the dermclinics with me once in a while BUT only avails non-invasive treatments. I, myself does not like the thought of going under a knife or anything alike. And that is the main idea of adulthood, make ourselves pampered in as much as our budget is able to tolerate it because we can never buy back time.

Not only woman have problem similar to yours. Even some men also longing for a scratch free faces that might be an individual are comfortable to walk anywhere without thinking their personal appearances. I hate to used different kind of products just to maintain my face value. That reason sometimes I experience difficulties in removing some faces marks due to pimples.

What if you don't have enough budget to do a series of treatment? If we are rich no problem at all but I am talking to those who are not capable to undergo such kind of treatment.

I was actually citing my personal experience on Fractional laser since you've mentioned facial scratches but I didn't say you need to have it done as well. Of course everything comes with a price. Dents and scars are like a lifetime problem because the skin is unable to heal by itself. Because of that you will need to prepare some budget for it if you really want to improve those. If it's just discolorations then several products are now more affordable to purchase unlike before which everyone can try at their own risk. Makes sense?

I share your burden. I also have small pimple scars. I have actually tried C02 Fractional laser. It has somehow improved the dents but I think I still need a few more sessions for my skin to really heal.

I have to admit that I am very lazy about doing things like shaving my legs, and I end up having to spend a while on them because I leave them so long. I don't see my partner very long so I don't think that there is as much pressure on me as there might be on other people. Also, I don't think that you should have to change yourself for a man. I honestly believe that if he doesn't like you the way that you are then he just isn't worth your time or effort, so there is no way that I would be changing things about myself for his benefit.

Yeah I could totally understand the point but the thing is I started shaving since preschool by accident so I have to do it every now & then. It's because kids pick on me aside from it if you leave for quite some time, it becomes so itchy it leaves more problems like scarring etc. But since last year I have been undergoing IPL & diode laser treatments so it's not much of a problem now.

I also had the same problem when I was younger, mhy. I tried so many facial products, but nothing helped me. I read in one magazine that fresh milk can help us get rid of pimples. I also learned that goat's milk is the best, but it's so expensive. I used cow's fresh milk. Since then, I no longer had any problems with pimples. Try it. Use fresh milk as a face wash everyday. It would be best if you can let the milk stay on your face for 30 minutes.

Yeah I've heard too. I think I used goat's milk bar soap before but it only whitens my skin but not much help for my breakouts. I am using Beauche right now, so far so good. Hope it gets better before December events.

it is really not good to have too many pimples on our face especially for a woman. as for you, if everything heals, just continue the regimen of cleaning and caring for your face. do it two times a day, morning and night, everyday. you could use facial scrub 3 times a week, once a day in order to exfoliate the skin, then wash it with facial wash 2 times a day, everyday morning and night, after that just apply facial cleanser because even if we already washed our face, the dirt cannot be washed off properly so it is best to apply a facial cleanser to truly cleansed the dirt on the face and neck, do it until you cannot see any dirt on the cotton. and then after that apply moisturizer. just do it on a daily and regular basis. this is what i do and i have not had any pimples appearing on my face. as women, we must make it a habit to take care of ourselves, we don't have to be the most beautiful or good looking woman around but if we know how to take care of ourselves that means having proper hygiene and being well groomed that can make us really attractive and can add up to our confidence too.

I know right. You don't need to get thin because that might pose some health problems. You just need to lose some weight if it is not within the normal range of your height. You hope reach that too as well. =D

It's true! Being a woman is really hard. Because you really have to look good all the time. Because we are so much concerned about our figure and what people would think of us.

I believe we have that as an obligation especially if we are committed or married. Boys are visual type of creatures. They tend to look left & right. May it be accidental, coincidental, planned or intended. You pick your choice.

I agree that taking care of our health is a must for everyone, and pimple is the enemy of women. but i don't agree when you said being women is difficult, and there's that 3 things you mentioned, that makes it sound like women is all about beauty and slim figures. there's more to us than that smooth skincare. we are not as shallow as the shaved skin.

Well everyone is subject to his or her own opinion but this is a reality and you cannot erase it in a way because there are only few men in this world who wouldn't care about the things I have mentioned. Yes there is inner and outer beauty that is why I focused more on the outer because this is my dilemma I wanted to vent out. And a lot share the same sentiments as mine. It is our responsibility to make ourselves look neat, presentable & of course beautiful. And pimple does not look beautiful to me at all. This is a narrowed topic about beauty. Hope this clears all.
