Is the Philippine education system equivalent to that of the US? What grade would you be for graduating in 4th year high school in the Philippines? Grade 10 or Grade 12?

I am not in the US but here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, it is totally out especially if we don't know French language.
I was a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education in the Philippines. I decided to take a course here after I received my papers but I need to go back to high school or some prerequisites for a certain programs in college.

The only thing I can say, the Philippines is not ready for this transition. It so abrupt to change the educational system, I had seen that preparation was not enough. The implementation of this change needs for a proper timing.
