50 First Dates

Have you watched this movie? What can you say about it? Did you find it touching? Would you like to watch it again? I just watched this last Sunday. The man (Adam Sandler) is afraid of commitment and Lucy (Drew Barrymore) lost her short term memory. She can't remember anything happened today, tomorrow. I find this quite touching. I guess I want to watch it again and again. How about you fellow myLotters? Feel free to share your thoughts about this movie. Happy mylotting everyone.

It is one of those sweet summer romantic comedies. It follows the recipe, guy meets girl, they hit it off and then something goes wrong and they spend the movie trying to get back together again. The fact that she doesn't remember their dates makes it all about him trying to give her the perfect date which is sad in a way because he will always remember the perfect days and for her every morning he is a stranger, the end is sweet though. The theme song by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole a version of Over the Rainbow is beautifully done.

Yes, you're right. It's challenging to him to make her day special everyday. I like the movie. I'm glad about the ending. Some movies end up bad. Oh, the song is cute for me. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

hello, i love drew barrymore and also like to watch adam sandler's movies. they are quite funny and good family movies. so i watched 50 first days not a long time ago. i must say that i was surprised. i wasn't expecting much from this movie because i thought this would be a chic flick. but i really enjoyed the movie and happy that i chose to see it. its a really nice romantic movie and the humour is also very good. all the characters are also pretty good and specially drew barrymore. she is awesome. i just love her.

You're right. She's so lovely. I am also her fan and Adam Sandler's fan. Yes this movie is really nice. I didn't regret watching it. My husband decided to watch the movie with me at home. Thanks to him. I was able to see this movie. Sometimes, he watches alone especially on weekdays. He saves great movies for us to watch together on weekends. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Oh, this movie reminds you of your husband. I'm sorry. Yes, this movie will let us laugh a lot. My husband, my son and I watched it together and our house was so noisy because of our laughter. LOL. I hope we can watch another movie like this. It's so touching but I'm glad I didn't cry that time. I sometimes cry and my husband and my son tease me. LOL. Thanks for posting. Stay happy.

LOL. Yes, I don't care when I cry sometimes. Even if they will tease me. It's great to cry because at least I am reminded that I still have emotions. LOL.

I guess it's quite difficult to find a man like him. He is so patient and willing to do everything for the one he loves. Does this kind of man exist? LOL. I also love this movie. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Hello angel. I have watched "50 first Dates" a couple of times. It was a nice but not an exciting movie. Adam Sandler's character, Henry Roth was interested in Drew Barrymore's character, Lucy and took most of the movie to fall in love and understand Lucy. It was very comical at times. It did have a nice ending.

Watched this last Saturday and i keep on laughing, the views of Hawaii is great, Adam Sandler is being a sweet guy, Drew Barrymore is charming as ever and that Half-Filipino guy that one that played Duece Begalow and always present in Adam Sandler's movies, he is the one making me laugh! The love story is cute and funny and really touching without even trying hard...the soundtracks are amazing too.

I saw this movie quite some time back. I found the concept a very interesting concept. I also liked the performances of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in the movie. Overall I enjoyed the movie, though some of the stuff was a bit over the top. Cheers! Ram

I saw the previews for this many years ago and thought it looked so funny I had to go and see it. I was really dissapointed with the movie. Pretty much the only funny parts were what they showed in the previews. It was rather boring. It had a nice ending though very sweet. I wouldnt want to watch it a second time though.

I have seen this movoie a couple of times. I think I even see this in cinema. Anyway, I find it really funny with Adam Sandler and Rob Scheneider (hope I got that one right), plus I think the plot is unique. I love how the guy is so devoted and he makes her fall in love again everyday. That's such a feat, imagine starting from scratch and you only have 24 hours to remind that girl that you are together and the two of you are in love.

Yes, you're right. Adam Sandler and Rob Schnider. I also love them. They are both comedians. They made the movie lively and entertaining. I fell for this movie. It's really sweet for a guy who doesn't give up even if the situation is already a bit hopeless. I'm glad you like it too. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Yes. I've watched the movie before. The story tells of a patient love. Sandler didn't grow tired introducing himself again and again in different ways. I was touched by how her(Drew's) friends repeated the same things every day. They do them again and again, it's funny yet very touching. Love that movie.

I agree that true love won't and never forget. Even though she lost her short-term memory her dreams led her to him. Maybe her dreams showed her that the man was somehow related to her. She might not recognize him but her heart knows him. I guess this is somehow true. My husband told me that maybe this movie happened in real life. Maybe there's really a case of losing short-term memory. Oh, I'll search about it later. I'm glad you like this movie too. Thanks a lot for posting and happy mylotting.

I guess in real life, it's quite hard to find this man. Some of them give up easily. They don't want long term courtship and some of them don't want to waste their time if they can see that the situation is somewhat hopeless. If there is a man like this, I guess his future wife will be very lucky. LOL. Thanks for posting meowchie. Happy mylotting.
