I know that I am not alone in not receiving any kinds of notifications from mylot for the last several days. I didn't think that I really paid attention to notifications, but after not getting them for several days, I do realize that I am actually missing them quite a bit.
With that said, I have also noticed something else happening with this lack of notifications. What I've been noticing is that while not receiving notifications, mylot seems to me a lot more like a question and answer site as opposed to a site where we are really having conversations. It seems to me that without the notifications there aren't the series of little discussions that are happening within the discussions that we've started on here.
Has anyone else noticed this as well? Don't you really miss having complete and true discussions during the time that you are spending on mylot?

When we don't received notifications it is very hard to hunt through all the responses and see who has answered one of ours and who hasn't. It is very frustrating. And it is hard to make very much money because of this. I do miss having full discussions and I hope they get it fixed soon. I had just gotten my notifications back after not having them for nearly six months. Had them for about two weeks and they were gone again.

I think it not only impacts the way the site works but it also makes for less earning. I earn alot more daily when I get my notifications because then I don't miss any of my responses.

I also noticed this. However, that wasn't so much what was bothering me during those several days that I wasn't getting any kind of notifications.
I am so happy that they are back on now though.

I certainly hope that it doesn't take six months for us to get our notifications back because I think that not having them is something that is definitely impacting the way that the site works.

My thinking is that this is some kind of a programming glitch that is taking some time to clear up. I'm sure that it will soon be rectified, but I don't like the fact that it is taking so long. Of course, I also know how it can be when something has gone wrong with programming.

I have not been getting notifications either...and yes. Then new way of doing it is just for the money and not the contribution of real feelings or opinions....I don't know how you rectify that....but I think this is more of an online way of making money for some.

I do agree with you that for some mylot is just a way of making money for them. However, for me, it has definitely became a lot more than just making money because in the time that I've been here, I've been able to make some real friends and I know that I always have a place that I can come to vent without having to worry about someone reporting my every issue back to my family (like people do on facebook).

I didn't miss the notification at first also , but now I do because I cant tell what my friends are saying . I cant tell if my responses are any help . I like that we still keeping the discussion going .
I didnt really notice that a lot of question and answer , I kinda visit the question and answer interest a lot so I dint really notice in the others discussion and interest .

I wasn't trying to single out a single interest there. I meant that it seems like without notifications it seems like more of a question and answer site as opposed to a true discussion site.

yes all you said is so true and especially when you have to come here to see if your response was recieved or if you got any responses to your discussions and i think its having a big impact on my earnings. 
because seeing them in your email reminds you of the interest you had in what the discussion was about.

I mostly use the notification system so that I am able to continue on conversations with other mylotters and that is what I am definitely seeing is not happening with the discussions that I've started and I'm sure that this is something that is happening with other mylotters as well at this point.

That is what I've really started to miss as well. I certainly hope that this is something that they are able to quickly get resolved.

Over the weekend another Mylotter had a very similar discussion. I only get notications from Mylot for discussions I responded to or started that were deleted for breaking the rules on Mylot. Nothing else. I know one thing,I have gottan no other notications since August 22,2012! I have sent a message to Mylot about this,too. You are not lone! Why this is happening is anyones guess!

Wow, I couldn't imagine having to do that long without having any notifications. Like I've said before when I've seen other people complaining about not getting notifications, I didn't really think that I used them. It is only in not having them all of a sudden that I've realized how much I really do depend on them.

I have not been receiving any notifications except if a discussion has been deleted. The last notification I got was August 23rd and I thought it was just me, but now I am noticing that it is not. I looked at my friends and my notifications are turned on. I miss getting notifications because it allows me to choose what conversations I want to participate it. I hope mylot fixes this soon. I come on here a few times a day to see what's going on and to keep up with my friends.

For me, the notifications that I get of discussions that my friends have started don't really mean a lot because I will hit most of the discussions that friends have started anyway since I try to respond to most of the discussions that my friends have started through my friend's started tab. What I really am missing is the notifications that I get when someone has responded to my discussions and also when someone has replied to the comments that I've made in other people's discussions.

Yes I also notice this last week many days no notifications received. But payment received on perfect date on 15th night. It is very hard to respond on discussion if no notifications received and not know who are commenting on our response. Top discussion list also not show I think notification is most important. I not check my mail now solve the issue or not.

On my end I haven't seen a problem with the top discussions not showing up. However, the no notification thing is something that I think is starting to take down the quality of the discussions that we are having on the site.

That is absolutely the only kind of notification that I've seen in the past week is that one discussion that I had responded to had been deleted. And of course, that kind of notification is of no help at all to me.
