Hi. I just notice here on mylot when some person post against mylot guidelines and many member post on that discussion. I don't know that they report it or not but if you are responding to the discussion its like you are giving them confidence to break the law. I had also seen that rated 9 or 10 member also respond to such discussion. You are also breaking the law with them. So I would like to praise members like mysdian and owlings who report as well as mention why they break the guidelines. So I am also moving in their path and I report as well as mention why they break guidelines. So you also tell the member and report it for breaking guidelines. Cheers.

Some times I don't think a post is breaking a rule. I think I must have made a lot of mistakes the last couple of days without knowin because I got some things deleted and I thought I was doing okay. Today I am going to make a small list of reasons a post will be deleted and keep it handy for me and check every post I reply on so this stops happening to me. Its kind of frustrating when this happens and I don't know that it will. If I realize that it will probably be deleted or should be deleted I do report it.

Those sound correct to me, those will be deleted. I've just made a list from the guidelines that I'll try to follow now and perhaps this won't keep happening. Another one is milestones whether about the myLot site or just your personal life: "50th birthday" or "I got post 500 today!"

@ravi ji Hi really nice list. I think we should copy it on our notepad. Mysdian also do the same thing. She had lots and lots of guidelines copied in her notepad and she just copy paste the mylot guideline link when she have to explain that you have break so so law. Cheers.

If I see a discussion that violates my lot's guidelines I usually leave a response explaining to them what they have done is against the rules of my lot and advise them to read the my lot guidelines to avoid having discussions deleted.I usually take the approach of friendly advice and trying to help them to learn for next time and so don't usually report.Though if they are a repeat offender and regularly break the rules I would have no hesitation in reporting them, though I have only reported a couple of people.I have reported myself more for accidental double posts than I have other users.

Hi. You are doing nice thing mate. I also explain the newbies specially who make the mistake. But when I don't report too I think someone else report it and discussion got deleted. It's nice to hear you follow guidelines and you had deleted your own discussion for multiple post which is against guidelines. Cheers.

hi swats I do if I am really really certgain it dif break guideline bu t I am not goling around andjust reporting carelessly as s ome do when there were no guidelines broken. If I ca nnot see that it did break any guidelines I will not report it as some do on the basis they d o not like the person., thats not what my lot wants a vendetta against someone,. so If its blatant I then do report it but I am careful. some go overboard and thats not right either,.

@ Hatley What happened to your English? I think my 3 year old sister talks like this. Personal differences should be kept aside here as we give privilege to discussion. I also don't report anyone who is my enemy here and infact I don't have one. Also mylot admin will not delete it until they found any guideline violation. I report people who abuse or use aggressive language here because it rots the environment of mylot. Cheers.

I think the admin would not delete them just if this was the case, someone trying to get at that person because they don't like them. Am I not correct that Admin also will check those topics to see about the rule broken?

swats89 yes, i understood what you said. If we introduce penalty for answering discussions violating guidelines then people may not post responses. already there is penalty in the form of not paying earnings for that response. Any problem can be viewed by people both in a positive and negative way. For example even this discussion can be considered not a meaningful discussion and not in any way helping the forum. On the other hand this discussion can be seen as one that helps members learning about their responsibility and they should report violations. I am considering it in the second way only. Let us see what others tell. If everybody starts reporting about violations then the Admin will have no time at all. It should be fine for a few to report and many to respond.

Hi. Yes mylot don't pay for the deleted discussion and that's a good thing. I recently saw person spamming here on mylot and I reported him. He constantly I think 5 to 6 times posted ref link of one site. I reported it and mentioned to ban from here as he is knowingly doing it. I think everyone should as a mylot family fight for those who violates the guidelines. Cheers.

Sometimes people respond to let the person know that they are breaking the guidelines. If no one told them, they might never find out. For others, they might not be familiar with the rules themselves so they are responding not realizing that they will lose money as well from posting on their discussion...

Hi. I completely agree with you. I also post to tell that person that you are violating the guidelines here. That's perfect because you are making them understand what they had done wrong. Cheers.

I have not so far reported any violation. However if I think there is a violation I do mention it in the response. Invariably that gets deleted by Admin. with or without reporting by members. I am sure mylot team must be having a few of their staff members peruse all the responses/discussions and judge it from their view also.

I have never report a person's discussion because I know a lot more people here are watching and will do so and those people are here longer and know the rule line by line . To be honest I sometime dont have the energy to watch what others are doing , I just skip through do my thing and leave the site . I learn from my mistakes and my discussion no longer get deleted . Hope others will learn too . Thanks to all the people that are mylot monitor .
