A question regarding to travel to Puerto Rico

United States

For so long I hadn't really taken a vacation to go somewhere myself, I really jealous of other people who went on cruise 3 to 4 years already to Caribbean islands, Bahamas, etc...... Me, the only resort I went to just my home, even though I have 3 weeks vacation. I was lying on my couch and watching TV most of the time. Somehow, I have to get out this cage and see someplace beautiful. A good friend of mine and I plan to take a trip to Puerto Rico, I won't say that is a cheap package though, it is 7 days trip include flight, and a mediocre hotel in San Juan. A friend of mine only has U.S. green card, I just wonder would he need any other documents to travel with him too? I am looking forward to this trip, and I hope it gonna be fun. Oh, if someone here been there before, how is the crime rate there? How to avoid crimes in San Juan, Puerto Rico?

I went twice to Puerto Rico and it`s beautiful. But I wouldn`t know about the crime rate as I went a long time ago. I could get very good prices for week stays through my timeshare. How much are you considering to spend on hotel for a night? Maybe I could help you.

Well, I went online, like travelocity, and I got this package 7 days for around $769 per person, included flight and hotel. What do you think of it?

I think that is is probably very good, depending on how much would you spend for the plane fare alone. I check the plane fare and then see how much I have left for hotel. Usually I get better deals if I go with other people when I use my timeshare. I can get a timeshare in Puerto Rico for a week for up to 4 people for a little over $800. I get a resort , usually a resort or apartment so that I can also save a lot on food. I always eat my breakfast at home (very inexpensive) and depending on where I`ll go, I`ll take sandwichs or eat out.

If you have questions on passports, green cards and such you might check out vacationstogo.com you can actually call free and they will answer and help with any questions you might have concerning your travel. I have booked through them twice now and have my own specialist. It is a relief to have a good person to attend to your needs before you travel and while you travel. happy vacationing. I was in the Army with so many Puerto Ricans they are such a friendly happy culture of people. Have fun sounds like you deserve a little fun!
