Why can't I update my profile page?

Okay, I'll give you it has been awhile since I updated my profile page on myLot. Today, I decided that I wanted to add some html code and change my avatar picture. Pretty simple stuff. I know I have successfully done it in the past. So, I went into my profile page clicked on edit profile. I want to say that it should give me a dialog box to upload a avatar picture and like a click button that I can choose whether I want to delete the avatar. I'm pretty sure this is what I saw just a few days ago, but today I see no way of uploading an avatar picture or deleting my current avatar. Next, I want to post some html code. I recall how to do this very specifically you have to click on the add content select the html option to add html content; then go up to the corner wait till it turns where it says edit. Click edit; then you can copy and paste your code into the box below. Afterwards, I saved the changes and clicked view profile. It did not add my banner. Then, I thought back to the last time that I updated my profile. I recall it was not exactly easy because there was some annoying little trick. After a few minutes, I recall that I had problems editing my profile using Firefox that last time I did it I had to use Internet Explorer. Okay, so I went into my start menu, and found Interntet Explorer. I logged into myLot page using Internet Explorer, and tried again to change the avatar and add the html code. Same issues. Please help me to understand what I need to do to edit the profile page. I am feeling kind of frustrated that something so simple is turning into such a complex project.

You change your avatar in preferences here: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editcustomize.aspx not in your profile. Did you hit "enter" after adding the HTML code before saving the chnages?

Thank you so much for the help, I was able to get the HTML code added. It was just that tiny little step in the process of hitting enter that I was forgetting. Once, I did that it worked. Silly how such a small thing can make such a big difference between something working or not working properly.
