How To Be a Good Mom

Good mom always know what's her priority in life. It is not easy for a mom to be a career woman and manage the things inside the house. Sometimes me too I was amazed that I managed to do it but because I love my children I can give what's the best for them.

I am a working mom myself. But I do not consider myself as a bad mom. I work to provide for their needs. But I also see to it that I also have time to bond with them. I work 8am to 6:30pm Mondays thru Fridays. I see to it before bringing them to bed time, we play or sing a song or do anything just to bond with them before they sleep. I even do not have enough time for myself anymore. After bringing them to sleep, I still do things like preparing for their feeding bottles, their milk, their drinking water... or arrange their closets... checking the availability of their diapers, vitamins, etc... And maybe it also depends on the priority of a working mom if they always choose to be at work than to stay home with their kids. If I can receive any information that my child is sick, I immediately leave the office to check them, and bring them to doctor if needed. Or if I am not busy at work, I file a vacation leave to spend time with them. During weekends, I have 2 whole days to be with them. We either go to a mall and have them play in a playground... or just stay at home, read them books or teach them anything a child should learn. I still can see observe my child's developments though I am away at daytime.

It is not easy to balance the work and family for a career woman. Today's modern women are so tough. I chose an ordinary job which means it is stable and I don't have to often work overtime. This is important because at least I will have more free time for my child. Everyday I check his homework and I also play with him. I always think he is lucky to have such a good mom like me. Hopefully one day he will realize it in the future.

I am also a mother and there are times that I feel guilty because I cannot devote my time to my children. But I know they understand our situation. That if I will not work, they will not be able to go to school considering the high tuition fees and other related expenses. It is a matter of explaining to them the importance of what we are doing. What do the modern mom mean by career? If they mean career is a way to gain money and status being ignorant of what their kids doing, wether their kids gain any progress mentaly and physicaly then its their folly. Part of our career, part of status are our kids, our kids career. We have no right to ignore them or leave them uncared, unloved,uneducated, unmedicated and unaccompanied by us.

Well. a good mom is the one who can manage anything...even she is busy she still can divide her time for everything...she can earn and she have the time for his kids and to his husband..so as long as you can give the right love,time, emotions for your string family relation ....your a good mom.

There has been debate on how a mother should balance her career and family. I guess not all are capable of doing both at the same time. But I think is, if the husband is a supportive father and husband, then the wife can be able to carry on with a career as well as be a mom to her kids.
