Guys, are you supporting that the 2012 Miss Earth beauty pageant will be held in our country? Then you should.
Because I heard that we will be the winner of the said event because....
Miss World 2012 held in China and the winner is China.
and Miss International 2012 held in Japan and the winner is Japan.
so for sure, because MISS EARTH 2012 will be held in the Philippines! and we will be the WINNER!!!

I can't blame your analogy of this. 
But I do hope our candidate wins the crown. It's something we could be proud of. Filipinas are indeed very beautiful and very smart, and I'm saying this without bias. (Well, maybe just a little) But a part of me wouldn't want our candidate to win on home ground. When these things happen, it somehow cast doubts on others that the pageant or whatever contest was rigged.

Correct! We should show to the world that we have the beauty and brains and not just because of having a home court advantage!
