to start off, you better read the book by Robert kyosaki. It's called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It's a very good eye-opener book.

I've read it already! I agree with you it is really a very very good book. I'm now reading Millionaire Mindset by Gerry Robert! Thanks!

Is it available free of cost? If not, how much it costs?

There are a lot of different books out there on the subject. Are you looking for anything in particular or just advice on financial planning, budgeting and becoming independent? Also do you want only online or in real life? They also have books based on different situations in life like if you are a college student, a single parent, etc. With that in mind, most books that would teach you how to budget, make money online or in real life and save money in order to gain financial independence are usually generalized with the following points: 1. Ask yourself what you want to do. 2. Make a goal plan for yourself. (Where do you want to be in five years once it starts?) 3. How do you want to achieve that goal? Making money online? At a place of employment? 4. Research job opportunities. 5. Write down interesting opportunities. 6. Either Apply or make yourself a schedule to work online. 7. Before starting, write yourself a goal or something to keep your motivation up and put it close by. 8. Start working. 9. If you wish to maximize savings, think about investing, savings accounts, or *insert countries savings/gaining programs here* 10. Set yourself a budget once you have a better understanding of what you are pulling in. 11. Only spend what you need to spend or live below your means if possible to create an emergency fund. 12. Once you reach your target goal (amount of money to get what you need) keep working and budgeting while getting what you need. Those are the very basic 12 steps I have read in many books, all with different wording of course, as books need to sell and plagiarism (at least here) is frowned upon. Those are also similar steps I use when helping people with this very question about earning money and financial independence.
