are you patient?

I used to be a very impatient person. I hated waiting and didn't respond very well to slowness and slackness. Nowadays, I am learning to stretch my patience most especially with some people. There are times though that I flare up because of too much waiting in certain offices and establishments. Sometimes I rant right there and then about certain slowness that makes people wait a long, long time. How about you? Have you learned the art of being patient? Share yours.

I am patient by nature. And I like it. It is good to be able to face situations with patience.

I think I am the most impatient person on the earth. I hate those people who are always late on the time agreed. Even most of my girl friends before knew my attitude. But few years ago I change it, I need to adjust my attitude to become more mature. Imagine yourself waiting 4 hours in a train station for a friend. We agreed to meet at the station because he wanted to go with me applying a job for abroad. I was almost irritated but I manage it

Yes, I waited 4 hours. It was the first time I waited that long

Four hours July? That's just like half a day! I would have left if I were in that situation.

I learned to be patient with other people, like friends, colleagues, etc. But I don't have patience with my family. I am very patient with others because I want to build good relationships with them and gain their respect in that way.

Hi Toni. It would be nicer also to gain good relationship with our very own family too but sometimes we just don't have enough patience to understand some of our very own.

I used to be patient and trying to extend it as far as I can.I always have enough patience on things especially in waiting. But there are still times that my patience is not good enough that makes me burst into things,.

It is true. Even the most patient person loses it once in a while.

Hi, I am also very impatient person like you. Many times I try to handle the situation patiently but it is very difficult for me to handle the situation. My wife is very patient person. She always try to face the difficulty calmly and patiently.Patience is very important in our life. If we are impatient we can not get mental peace.

When I was younger I was very impatient. To my credit, I was never late in any class or appointments or meeting, so whenever someone is already half an hour late without any valid reason, I call off the meeting or just move on not minding if everything has been set up or not. But now that I am older I have learned to practice patience to a certain degree. I try now to understand why people are late, or why people act the way they did. Of course I expect them to have a good reason for doing so, especially if they're my friends. I learned that if I want people to be patient with me as well, I have to bestow the same courtesy.

That is very mature of you, Raine! Keep it up! I wish I could have that kind of coolness.

I think that the amount of patience that I am able to show very much depends on the situation that I am in at the time. If I am in a rush for something then I cannot be patient because it might mean that I am late for my appointment; however if I am not in a rush then I am sure that I would be able to be at least a little bit more patient. I am also a lot better with the people who I know well and like, because I know that I wouldn't be able to give as much of a chance to the people who I am not as fond of because I wouldn't want to please them as well.

I didn't used to be, but now I am. I guess I have softened or just decided to slow down as I got older. Of course, I'm not patient for the lack of patience exhibited by some people. A lot of people just seem to be in a rush, and it can really just be overwhelming when a lot of people just trip over each other. There are just many times where I can wait around a lot more than people. But, that being in mind, I do have my limits. There is a difference between being patient, and just accepting time is being wasted. In this day and age, there is only so much time that can be wasted. Of course, the art of being patient is just something that has to happen. The world does not revolve around my whims. As much as I liked that to happen when I was younger, it's just something that just ended up not happening. So yes, patience tends to be learned with experience, at least in my experience.

Not at all but I can be. What I mean is that it's not natural to me at all but then if it's something I don't like in him I keep reflecting about how I must respect that, day after day until I come to understanding (that's how a non marriageble person like me became engaged ), or if it is something I want but can't have now I do the same, I think about it and rationalize day by day. I am so much more patient than 15 years ago.

I admit that I have those moments that I'm not patient on some things. I lose my temper everytime my standards are not met. I prefer everything to be in order or close to perfect. I believe, this orientation could have some "backfires" and that could lead me to trouble. That's why, I'm practicing to have a lot of patience and humility now, to accept things that we cannot change and to respect other people and that they are different and not like me. I'm doing my best to be patient at all times now. Thanks

I may say, I had seen the tolerance of being patient. But there are still some lapses the idea. Good day!
