I have found myself the subject of organised downgrading by other members. How do I go about bringing this to the attention of the administration? Lash

Hi Lash, I've noticed a few unpleasant things that are happening here being discussed lately. What's the matter with these people? We have to keep mylot from going to the dogs - or should I say trolls? I know there are enough great members to defeat the purpose of attacks like this. And admin won't put up with it. I don't always agree with you but I like you anyway! I usually take a positive or neutral side on things. If I disagree I pass it by. I'm too old and tired to debate issues. The trolls must have mylot confused with FaceBook. And your ratings should be going back up. I just realized I'd forgotten to give positive ratings to a lot of discussions. So many good ones and I'm sooo forgetful. But I've taken care of it now.

Thank you deazil. I do appear to have upset a few of the more conservative types with some of my recent discussions, but you should'nt down rate someone because you disagree with them. It's more than a little cowardly. Lash

How do you know it's an organized effort? I know that a lot of people don't really understand what the + and - are for, so if they don't like what you say, they'll downgrade you. And if you go into the politics section saying something other than crazy right wing conspiracy theory, a lot of people there will not like what you say.

Well that's precisely what I have done lol, referring to them en masse as pilot fish to the corporate moneysharks, but the ones I have upset are fairly long-term members and should know better. But until I talk to admin I can't be sure what's really happened. Lash

Thanks Hatley. I haven't "spoken" to Alice yet and wasn't sure how to go about it, and I'm still not quite sure from what you've said how to do it. I assume I go to message and type in GAA? Lash

Gee Hatley, I'm really surprised by your comment above this one. Isn't it a bit unkind and unnecessary? You are always going off at others for doing such things, surely there's only one rule for all??

What do you mean by organized downloading ?? I dont know much about it nor I know little about bringing things to the administration but I am interested ti know . If you are on a site you could always look for the contact and then maybe call them to report what you feel is needed .

Lol my bad ignore my first respond , I was not focus , I have too many tabs open . Why do you think they are downgrading you ? check your responses because you may ruffle some feather here . Try not to get into any argument with anyone here , I dont know if admin will be able to sort it out but good luck .

What on earth would be the point of trying to avoid the ruffling of feathers? It's what I do, but that's no excuse for negative rating someone. Lash

Hello, Lash. I think most of us who actually respond with what we think have been downgraded at some time or other. You need to contact Admin on this, and if there is a particular discussion where there is obvious disagreement and the appearance of people banding together, send them the URL. I don't do technical, but I'm sure there is a way they can check on negative ratings, because I've heard others say that they've complained about unjustified downgrading before and they have had their star rating restored. As it's just a leaderboard issue, though, they may not be able to do anything. At least you haven't lost the red star - that affects how you're paid, I believe.

I'm not surprised to find you discussing this. Not because of any dislike. I just know that you join a lot of political discussions and you used to have a blue star. That means your star rating dropped at least six percent. For someone with your participation level that's pretty dramatic. You have five times my participation. When my wife and I were about fifty percent of where we are now she got hated on and her star took a beating. I went out of my way for a couple days to plus her up and think I only managed to boost her by one percent. It takes one heck of a lot of effort to deliberately screw up someone's star. Going to admin might help. Just be advised that it isn't a couple of individuals doing it. The math says that it is a group making a concerted coordinated effort. I doubt that it is the long time conservative contributing myLotters. Most of them aren't that petty whether you can believe that or not. The same thing has happened to most of them. I got hit pretty hard in there about a month and a half ago. I've sworn off politics until after the US election is over mainly because the haters on both sides of the debate are getting just too weird about.

Yep, message the Admins! And if you have any idea use the screen name of the person you think it might be. I am sure the admin has a way to see if it is true or not?
