Gosh I am tired of this carpenter. He is an old man who is working here at my place and he seems to make blunder in everything he does. Yesterday hubby told him to take out the front roof which is an extension in the porch and he went and started removing the extension which is for the window. Gosh, Thank god i saw it on time otherwise he would have taken it out. He is doing everything like twice.. I am tired of him and now i think I am gonna do something about it. There are about 8 labors at my place polishing furniture, painting and this carpenter. They all were laughing at him because he is crazy carpenter.. Now he is making a shelf in the kitchen and he has spoilt once and doing it again. I feeling like banging the hammer on his head....Just wasting time..I can hear him doing some hammering there in the kitchen. Now I am gonna go and fix him. There is so much more left to do and he is becoming very irritating. have you dealt with a labor or worker like this?? What do you think I should do? Deduct from his pay?? Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Good luck with the funny carpenter dear Maybe you can just tell this old man to assist the others instead of doing all the work by himself.

Hello my friend riyauro Ji, Well, I think you should replace him with another proficient worker without deduction, sooner the better. May God bless You and have a great time

oh , so you were busy all these days. That man sounds funny .Hope he is not deaf. May be he got some mind problems. Just beware of this man , otherwise your money will be wasted .keep an eye on him . If he cause too much loss then you can think of deduction .

Was another carpenter not available?Last year,I had to buy a wooden shelf for my books that are my choicest ones.I went to the market, but the shelf of the kind I wanted was not available.I decided to get it prepared by a carpenter although it was going to be costlier. Now I began to look out for a good carpenter. The problem was that carpenters are now not found in my hometown. Those who were carpenters a few years back have sold their lands to the government and started business with the money. Now they are not willing to continue with their profession. Finally after searching for a week I came across a carpenter. He was deaf.Only God knows how I managed to explain to him what type of a book shelf I wanted.

gosh you must be having a hard time getting a carpenter there. Here, the Goans are just useless and they have spoilt the labors here. the labors are from different states on India. Goans don't want to work. so now have to deal with it. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

My father is an engineer and I have been with him in some of his job sites and I have also seen some jobs done at our own home. I have seen great works and the ones that's just really disappointing. My father would usually scold any laborer that was either wasting time or doing the job wrongly. I would probably do the same, knowing that I am the one paying their wages/salary and I spend for the materials, I suffer for whatever bad consequences may happen due to poor labor, etc., not to mention the amount of time and effort wasted.

Having someone to do things over and over might be causing you more than what you expect. I think that if he is not an efficient worker, you need to pull him out of there. I know that is looks like being harsh on him, but you are paying him to perform his duties well and the cost of the materials that he is wasting might just pile up.

Riyauro!!! You're back! Or did I just miss some of your posts? anyway, maybe he's that way because of his age? Sometimes they really have some trouble with hearing that's why they cannot clearly understand the directions. Maybe you can replace him or let him do the barest and simplest woodworks around the place. Or you just have to closely watch him as he works but that can be too time consuming.
