For about six months, Mr. Mennella, who last February he decided to buy a computer, it has not remade more "alive". For about two months I was his teacher, because we had an agreement that established we'll be seen once a week, so I could well give him lessons. I never understood why he stayed so long without calling. I immediately believed to have been replaced in this work by another person. Yesterday, however, unexpectedly Mr. Mennella, calls me. His problem is that he has signed up for ADSL, gave him a modem, but it only works with cable. But he would like to see this all working in wi-fi. Now, I'm going to his house, and I especially hope to solve his problem in the best way. However, see everything, then write a discussion to follow.

So he has only a standard wired cable modem, he needs to buy a wi-fi router then to be able to use his internet connection over wi-fi. Yeah, setting up wi-fi routers are easy but it maybe difficult for the ones who have less experience with computer hardware.

No, that's not how things are. Mr. Mennella, already has a wi-fi router. His problem was able to enter the password correctly, so that was authenticated by his own laptop. Yesterday I managed to solve the problem.

I was using cable with Telecom until two months ago. Then I changed to wi-fi but my desktop was not compatible. I used this: http://www.netgear.it/prodotti/Ufficio/wireless-adapters/work-and-play/default.aspx to make the wi-fi function correctly and have had no problems with it since.

Well, even Mr. Mennella has subscribed to Alice ADSL by Telecom Italia. I personally use Fastweb. I must say that the installation procedures are similar
