Cops caught sleeping in their Stations.

Hello Lotters,
You know it's really sad about Philippine Cops that they have little numbers now in the streets. but not only that, they dwindle every time some one or a group of cops gets busted for their crimes, thus lose their service or position as a COP. last time I've heard they number merely to 200k all over the country , with out the cops getting fired yet
But what's worse is when they work on Nightshift Duty, BUT SLEEPING! not to mention the doors are closed when they are supposed to be up for service. sad for them a group of MEDIA people had them video recorded and showed it to the Higher Authorities..
I wish this isn't happening in our Police Station here

This is really sad and very disappointing as well. Imagine, the cops who were suppose to serve and protect are sleeping! Well, if it just happened once, it can be forgiven. Maybe, they were just sleepy and tired. But if this has happened a lot of times and became a habit, then they should do something about it. Maybe a suspension will do, and if they do it again, then appropriate action should be done.

Hello watchamacallitz, they got fired from their work, because they were constantly doing this during their night duties. i think they have done sleeping in their duties more than once so that's why the people had to report it to the media. I know, it's hard to be a cop, but if the sleeping is constant then they will face punishment.

I can only described one word for them SHAMEFUL. We pay them to protect the community they are assigned and yet all of them seem to sleep while on duty. I am glad the Police Department acted on them swiftly as I know they are all dismissed from duty and hopefully others will be warned not to do it as well.

So sad that those cops where caught by mediamen sleeping...I have also seen cops sleeping while on duty...hope that they will make it a lesson not to do it in their post from now on...

Hello aabuda, I can understand that they are always on duty, i bet some of them are having overtime. However, the protection of it's citizens is a must. if they are going to sleep one of them or at least two of them are supposed to be awake. because criminals can actually go there with out being spotted.

I have seen them most of the time. most specially here in the pawnshops that are closed, some pawnshops have security guards at night. just to prevent it from being stolen by other people.

Wow looks like they are not working at all and im sure they are not the only cops that are sleeping while on duty unless its their one hour break as they can at least have a nap for an our. Though i know that there's still good cops out there though only few against millions of them

Hello Homeshoppers, yeah they are paid by the people to do their job and they should do it. the government should find away to promote jobs for law Enforcement. they can't simply just deny them of heir opportunity to improve. in fact, they lack facilities that would make it secure for a police station., i wonder if they can check why they are doing these bad deeds, there's nothing wrong with consulting.

Maybe that's enough for their marketing slogan of their cops, they don't really deserve to be called finest. you don't get to see that on other countries where they promote their so called law enforcement. well, there are only a few good cops now compare before.

That's annoying to the COP caught by the media. He didn't hide from anywhere else pretending that he did a very nice nap or sleep instead of doing a good job. If I were the cop I assign somebody as look out to call his attention if there are enemies coming

Hello Julyteen, They will either lose their job or get suspended, or maybe transferred to a different department were active cops will be all around him. they were definitely disappointed with what they saw in the videos, and they are just four of them to begin with. just imagine crooks will make the fun out of the neighborhood because of this.

It is sad to hear all these bad news about police officers. I am glad that the video taping happened so that these things dont happen again. I just hope that higher authorities does something about it. I am not sure if their image can still be improved. They should be good examples for everyone especially the kids. They should work hard to protect and serve the nation

Hello muelitz, It's always been sad to hear that our police officers aren't always doing what's right for the community. that's why law enforcers are not feared by criminals because they very much likely be more agressive and hard to be caught. though there are some progress but not enough for them to get them all. not all are bad some are really dedicated cops.

Wow, and they get paid for what? Sleeping! Gosh, they should really fire these kind of cops. We all know that accidents and crimes happens mostly at night so they should be alert during that shift. Cops of higher ranks, whatever you call them, should give seminars to his cops in each station so they are aware of their duties. It's negligence is something bad happens to their area and they haven't done anything because they are sleeping pretty.

Hello Gaiza, Yeah that's a huge disappointing for the tax payers, they are sure getting pissed for what these public servants are doing. you don't get paid by the people to do a job and then gets lazy about it. yeah, not only at night december is nearing, more crooks are on the move. we have to be all careful and prevent ourselves from getting robbed.
