Well, I just noticed a number under my username here. It keeps on changing every time I post something. But I'm not quite sure what is that for or what is its significance. I'm not yet familiar with some of the things here in myLot. Sorry for asking. I'm just somehow curious. I guess the number is already 11 or 12.

That number is your user activity rating and increases every time you start a new topic for discussion but only after it receives two responses, or one response and one comment.
The nunmber also increase by one the first time that you respond and the first time that you comment on discussions started by others.
It also decreases whyen you lose posts due to deletion.
It is not a post count and as it is not related at all to your earnings, it only indicates approximately how active you are.

It is very sad indeed and there are several topics in this interest today with incorrect information which everyone can read and could believe to be true

hi mysdianait, you are doing a great job here trying to explain the real meaning of the number in bracket. it's kind of sad seeing the wrong information being passed down to the newbies most of the time. it's good to see your effort commenting to each of the misleading responses above.

The number that you see is the total number of posts/comments that you have made. Do have time to visit the discussion guidelines and FAQs so that you can know more about Mylot. Happy Mylotting!

jenny that number is NOT the total number of posts/ comments because it is NOT a post counter and NOT all of our activities are counted in that number, You would be wise to read the link for the explanation.

That number is not the total number of posts. MyLot does not have a post counter and n0ot all of our responses and comments are counted in that number.

If you want to know why then please read the link in the first response. That number includes all of the discussions that we have started, if they have received responses, plue the first response and first commentt that we have posted on discussions started by others. It is not weird at all and the explanation is extremely simple.

Right now you are at 13. That means you have posted 13 comments including discussions. You will see it increase everytime you post something useful. On the contrary, this number may decrease even if your response is deleted. Check out the FAQ below this page to get your questions answered.

No that number is niot the total number of responses and comments be cause it does not increase every time that we post something. MyLot does not have a post counter and the explanatonis in the link in the first response.
