Making money is not as easy as it used to be

I found out that many people have to struggle really hard to get jobs that will give them money. Without money you will be helpless. I remember being offered jobs, which I rejected because I thought I wouldn't be able to handle too many things to do. My available hours were only 8 hours, and that was spent on my main job. And now unemployement rate has risen. Those who graduated from universities have to keep their eyes opened for new vacancies offered through advertisement. A few were accepted. I also heard that you had to bribe in order that you could get a job. A friend of mine suggested creating a job not getting a job. He said if I looked for a job I wouldn't make myself rich. What he meant was that salaries were only enough just to make ends meet. What's your take on this?

Well I have heard a few times from guest speakers on some lectures or even those motivational speakers. You won't get rich as an employee, that's why you should be the boss, in short create a business. However, having a business or company is really hard as well, talk about all the risks of failing, probably why most people would just consider getting a stable job. Lastly, there is a saying if a person knows how to be contented, he/she won't feel poor or financially lacking, because even the richest person would feel poor or unsatisfied with his/her wealth, if he/she does not know how to be contented and thankful.

Agree with you Ghajini. If we can learn to be satisfied with whatever we have, we're already so rich. Not everyone is born to be rich. There are poor people and there are rich people. So likewise, not everyone is born to be the CEO of a company. Some will become bosses while others will be employees.

The problem is that unemployed people cannot make ends meet. They can't survive. They need jobs just to survive. I agree with you that many rich people do not feel sufficient with what they have. This is because they are greedy. They are not thankful to God, who has all in this universe.

You are absolutetly right about it. Rich people never feel satisfied with what they have. They are always hunting more and more money. Thank for sharing.

You are right now unemployement rate has rising in every country. I think in India lots of employment available than other country. Some Company not pay proper salary according to the job so people not like to join it even there are lots of job. But you should try again again dont loose the hope.

I guess, unemployment is now every country's problem that should be solved as soon as possible. You know that unemployment may raise the number of crimes committed by some unemployed people because they need money badly.

Same here, some bosses not paying proper salary makes people keep on moving from one job to another. There seems hard to get suitable and nice paying job around nowadays.

Nobody will get rich if you're just an ordinary employee. You will have to budget and you'll then realize that the salary you're getting isn't enough for your daily expenses. You can be an employer, you can help other people and help your family too. You will be rich and you'll also have extra earnings and savings. Even we try to keep our living very simple, our salary sometimes can't adjust to the things we need. Think about this, increase of tuition fees, oil price hike and prices of goods from the market are always changing. How about our salary? I found out a very good business, but I don't know where to start.

You are right. I have been thinking about it. If I am employed, I will be just a person who receive salary. I won't make a big change in my life. Thank for suggestion.

I have done what you have done, rejected a lot of jobs in the pass . Now unemployed rate as gone up and that is why I am staying in my current job . I also see a lot of my college friends having to now go over seas to work because little job is in the country .

I have just been offered a job but accepting it will mean leaving my family behind. I would rather find one in the current city where I live now. If I have to work in another city, it will cost more and I will not earn anything.

That is the absolute truth in the nutshell, and the fact is the actual divide between the rich and the poor have gotten far wider. In fact, there used to be a rather sizable group of the middle class people in the middle. Now there is a huge gaping chasm, where no one seems to be able to hang on. There are just times where employment is harder to come by. And let's face it, there are far more options out there. Companies hire workers for a fraction of what they are worth, and if the worker complains, well there will be dozen of other people who will jump on that job just to make ends meat. Is that a harsh thought to have? Yes, it is a very harsh thought to have. Is it a very true thought to have? You better believe it.

I believe it. Now what I have got to do is to keep my noze to the grindstone to jump to the position where the rich is. By making myself employed will not be a good idea unless there is no choice. Creating a job is a better option if I have some capital to start it with.If other people can get rich, why can't I? What do you think?

I think your friend is right.Creating jobs is better than looking for ajobs.I prefer create a jobs and it's can help each other who have no works at that time. You can create with simple idea.Search your market area first. What really people need and like. For the first time you can create by your self or take from other source. Please learn this from the expert.Your salary will unlimited if you creating a jobs and become successful. It was different if you're still wanna looking for jobs.

When we have capital to start with, it seems to me that creating a job is better. However, there is always risk in any business. So, I think before we start it, we have to really know what we will be doing in the business.

Around here, it doesn't seem too hard to get a job if you have some level of education. I'm self-employed, and have basically created my job. It doesn't pay as much as my husband's job, plus he gets benefits and a pension. The advantage to my being self-employed is that I set my own hours, and so we don't have to pay for childcare.

Being self employed is now more challanging and needs some sort of capital to start with. More and more people would rather be employed than create a job for the simple reason that they have nothing to start a business with.

In the United States there are so many people that got tired of being rejected time after time when looking for jobs that they created their own work. I'm one of those people who created my own jobs. I work at four different jobs. I make teddy bears that are purchased by various gift shops, I design and make jewelry which is again purchased by various gift shops, I repair and restring pearls for one of the local jewelry stores, and finally I buy and resell collectibles. It isn't easy work and I work long days but I thoroughly enjoy doing what I am doing. I know too many people that have been out of work for long periods of time and when I make suggestions about what they could do, they look at me like I am speaking martian or some foreign language. I also have suggested that they look for employment outside their field of study and the response from these people who have a college degree is like I suggested to them that they should go to the mall naked! There is no way that they would lower themselves to take a job that is something that isn't within their degree or major. Entrepreneurs in the U.S. do work hard for their money, they work long hours seven days a week, but it is worth it in the end. Look at the person who founded Ebay! There are a lot of areas open for people who are willing to invest their time and energy in starting a business, no matter where in the world that they live. Especially when they are extremely intelligent people, like yanzalong!

Everyone needs a job, not just because of money, but also to show off, and honor. Many people who boast a good job, and the salary is also very satisfying. Many people become embarrassed, because it does not have a job. To get a job is very difficult Many people spend time and money to find a job. All people, would feel that way. Especially for men, because men should be the head of the family. That must be instilled in every person, work must be sincere, and for a good cause.

I think everyone needs a job because of money. Even they sacrifice a lot of money to bribe authorities in order that they can be accepted as employess in the local government. They think their money will be back to them within 5 to 10 years of service. Well, that's my view only.

Yanza, if we are creative and able to create own job, that would be an interesting way to earn our living. But i doubt that we are able to feed our selves with the money that we earned through it. We still need to find some full-time job, to support our daily expenses. Money that we earned partly through our online activities won't be able to help us much since it is only a little. By the way, you plan to create what job in the market?

I agree with you. That's what I have been thinking about. However, if we have a full time job, our time will be spent doing the work in the company we work for. We will have a little time to concentrate on a business that we create. I used to have a full time job as well as a part time one. I found it difficult to concentrate on the part time job because I had been very tired when I clocked out of the main office.

hello there yanzalong, indeed you are right. nowadays, the means of making money is not as easy just like before. wherein before, you can easily find a job that in line with your college course but now, its not. just like here in our end, most of the time, newly grad people apply their job at call centers. since they think that the job in call centers gives the most highest salary.

I blamed my house for making it difficult to get a job. Chinese people believe that the shape of the land where my house stands will influence my fortune. If I believe that fengshui is right, I feel that there will be more difficulty in my life because I have to move out of the house and find another place, which is not easy now.

You are so right, making money is not easy compared to the old days, when It is a bit simplier. I worked as a private nurse back then until I get tired and a little bit sick, that's why, my husband and I decided to have a hiatus on my day job and focus on having a child. I also do online things to help my husband. He has a day job and he receives just enough for our expenses and a little savings. Also, we are planning to to put up a little business that could add to our income daily. Good luck to all of us. Thanks

You are still a lot luckier compared to those who have no jobs at all. Currently I earn much less than the cost of living. I have been doing is to find a job that will make up the difference. Because I haven't found one yet, I still have to rob Peter to pay Paul just to make ends meet.

It is really very difficult to earn nowadays. You will be forced to loan to be able to meet some needs that eventually you will realize that the more it will be very difficult becuase of the deductions. I think we should look for a second job and learn to save even for just a little amount.

So far, borrowing has burdened me. Just now a friend who has got a hospital offered me a job in another city. He offered me $200 a month. A room is provided for my stay. If I accept the job this will mean leaving my family. What do you say about this?

hello friend, i think you are absolutely right in saying so.If one is educated and if he keeps his eyes open to the surroundings he will definaely find something or the other worthwhile. No harm in giving a try because i feel that nowadays nobody is satisfied with his wants. He wants more and more infact his hunger is unsatiable.I feel some where down the line a man should be satisfied with himself too. have a nice day

Yes. Nowadays, people are willing to do anything as long as they are paid. I was called for an interview. The interviewer asked me if I would accept the job if the pay was below my expectation. I told him okay I don't mind about it. Still, he hasn't called me to let me know if my application was accepted.

Yes I agree with you. Earning money is becoming harder nowadays but it's so easy to be spent. Most people doesn't live within their means and most of us live beyond what we earn. When pay day comes, they will be surprise to know that not a single cent will be saved from. I sometimes also become an impulsive buyer and seems that my wants are becoming more. But since I have a son to feed, I manage to forget about my desire and just live with all our means. Also, aside from our full time works, my husband and I open online shop. This will help us generate income we can save every month.

When I was still in business school, our professor told us that she would be disappointed if she saw any of us working in a bank. She said that we were studying in the best university in the country and we were being taught to be entrepreneurs and not just mere employees. That stuck to my mind. Both my parents were entrepreneurs. They never settled on being mere employees. They were blessed to succeed and because of their guts me and my siblings grew up not having to worry about money. But there are people who seek to serve because they want to and not because of money.

Most people who would rather seek a job than start as entrepreneurs are those who don't want to take risks. In other words, they don't want to bother their heads worrying about their businesses. I have also seen some poeple failed as entrepreneurs and couldn't stand up on their feet any more.

Making money is becoming tougher day by day. On the other hand ways to spend money are getting more attracting forms and force day by day. This attracting forms and forces make even a decent salary/earnings from jobs unsatisfactory to many person.

I feel it, too. Since I became unemployed, I have made an all out effort to find a job related to my skill but none of my job applications is accepted. I tried to go back to where I worked as a part timer but the owner said, there were already too many employees. He asked me to just wait. I cannot wait because I have a family to feed.

Yes this information is true and I would our country on the list. There are so many graduates who don't have jobs. One reason the I heard is that they don't qualify to the position. There are jobs available, but the applicants does not fit the job requirements. But the government is trying to find ways to address the problem. Online working also become very popular in our country and I know there are some who are benefited by this kind of work.

I heard that there was a blogging school in another city that promises its students good opportunities as soon as they finish a three month blogging training. He said in his seminar that after a 3 month training, student would be able to make at least US$200 per month. I don't think it will be as easy as that. What do you think?

Your point is exactly right. Making money is indeed not easy as before which make many graduated students worried a lot. Like me, the salary is very low , but I dare not to quit my job. It is so hard to find a job. As for being your own boss, this is not easy too. one must think a lot, like how to handle the business, what kind of business you want to do, the money problem , the market and so on. A little doesnot consider to be clear about, you may be failed.

I think we have to be satisfied with what we have nowadays. Quitting what we do now is very risky as getting a new job is really tough now. You are right about staying with the old job although it does not give you enough yet.
