if you have children, especially where they are below 15, give them the ability to be bilingual. bilingual children have more head start than their peers in life, such as having more self control and the ability to keep a longer attention span.

In my opinion it shouldn't be started too early. They are not going to know more at 3 than at 6, only they could be confused... unless if the parents' mother tongues are different, that's the best that can happen to them language-wise. 5 or 6 is a nice time to start learning one language. In my country, when I was a kid, I could start at 6, but nowadays, you can start at 8... and you can start a next language at about 14. It's good, and definitely, as you get older, it's the more difficult to learn a language. I know about myself. I tried to learn French for some time, but it's not going as fast as my learning of English and German (I'm from Hungary).

thanks for the suggestion on age to start learning. these days, where i come from, the schools start even from kindergarten. no matter when one starts, having a second language is really helpful. thanks

every time you see a dog, it has a tail but on the other hand, there are some dogs who have lost their tails! learn from that.
