No Tick or Treating Here

I'm not sure if Trick or Treating was cancelled or postponed in this town or not, I haven't even been out of the house since Sunday. But, strangely enough I hear no kids on the streets in their costumes on or anything like that, either which is really very unusual. It doesn't even seem like Halloween here tonight. Most years we hear them walking around at least and going to the neighbors if not here cause we usually have the lights out. We used to give candy out years ago but the town isn't as safe anymore so we stopped. I just think something is up this time cause of no kids, and perhaps the hurricane had something to do with it too. It is as quiet as a mouse still outside and 7 p.m., the peak hours of T or T'ing!

I've heard a lot on the news that it has been postponed in a lot of areas. I know here there is a news station with all the dates and times for each neighborhood. It has been an odd week, just the way things have unfolded and been so unexpected! Expect the Unexpected, eh?!

I am sorry to hear that. Halloween seems to be a popular and happy festival. But this year the hurricane Sandy ruined. It brought a lot of damage to the people especially in New York. My friend who lives in New York told me that there is still no electricity at home. Perhaps this time it is better to stay at home rather than going out to have the treat or trick because of the hurricane.

not the same over here. it was wonderful. my daughter and i got a great deal of candy. i must admit, though, there were certainly a lot more kids around last year.

Its not even dark here yet. My grandson may not go out. I am not sure what the thing is this year. There are trick or treaters on the major street here where alot of kids go but not around here.

Maybe it is because of the storm, people are just lazy to go out of the house.. or their parents are still worried about the storm so they thought it would be safer to just stay indoors... And as you said, it is quite dangerous in your neighborhood.

I saw on cnn it was called off in the area where the storm hit. they didnt want all those kids and adults out in the streets. Take care there.
