I know about garlic being used to control hypertension. But you need to consume a bulb or so to reap the benefits. I tried, but frankly, chewing garlic is a very challenging exercise. It is too strong a medicine to consume on a daily basis.

You can try adding it in vegetables or pulses and see how it benefits you.

Wow! Well, I knew that garlic has really a strong smell and taste. So it must really be hard for you to chew it. :)

Actually, it's not the smell or taste. It's the burning sensation in my throat that is difficult to take. I actually have to take something cold or sweet as some kind of chaser after each piece of garlic I chew. Anyway, I know of some people who take garlic to control their blood pressure. Maybe, they learned to ignore the sensation, but I just can't.

it will keep the rest of the people away from you because of the smell and that may save you because some of those people may carry bad diseases.

I think you already mentioned most benefits of garlic (so no excuse anymore not to use it because of it's smell). If it comes to real toothache I can tell you it won't help! But it does clean your blood, so is good for the immune systeme, your heart, etc. But You do need a bit more as most people think. How much also depends on your personal health. BTW it works fine too for dogs/cats etc if you don't want fleas around.

You can buy garlic oil in health food stores,or make your own. Garlic oil enhanced the lymphocyte proliferation rate accompanied by an elevated production of all four cytokines when given at a dose of 100mg/kg.

really? im sure its another good food and possible benefits but cure cancer, etc. i dont believe. a good nutricious and healthey lifestyle and eating habits will help anyone a lot. but some people have cancer and heart desease etc. no matter. some people eat a lot of garlic in some countries and still have cancer. sorry but being from a family plagued with cancer has me a bit skeptical.

I agree with you! It's better for people to have a healthy and good lifestyle so that they wouldn't look for any medicines in order for their illness to be treated. :)

I have no problems in eating garlic as long as of course that could be the garnish on food. I can't eat that alone but if I could make it as garnish I can put as many as I can.

Garlic is really beneficial to our health. The reason for this is due to its active component called Allicin. This component of garlic makes it as a powerful antibiotic. It also contains Germanium which is an anti-cancer agent. So make it a habit to take at least 2-4 cloves of garlic per day.

Thanks for the information. I agree into that. I already did to put a sliced of garlic onto my aching tooth and it did help to ease the pain, though the pain is not totally relieved but at least my aching tooth was tolerable already.hehe

I already used garlic before on my aching tooth. But I've just tried it once. Because I still prefer medicines. Besides, medicines don't have strong smell and taste which garlic do have! :)

Yeah! Because our heart pumps our blood throughout our body. And we knew that garlic can cure different heart ailments. So that if it cures ailments of the heart, it can also avoid us to have high blood pressure or hypertension. :)

Yes all that you said is true about garlic but i advice that you either slice it and allow it dissolve in water then you can sip in the water or use it in cooking as an ingredient like onoin before taking it in because if you try chewing it like that the burning sensation will affect ur heart some day to come.
