I can almost hear the dog crying "I'm supposed to be walking now...hu..hu..hu...

Well today I witnessed something which made my blood boil. Someone, who looked like a house help, was out of the house with a dog on a leash. It was obvious that she was supposed to "walk the dog." But as soon as she was out of the masters' gated house, there, outside was a neighbor's house help waiting for her. And there goes the dog's walking time. The helper assigned to walk the dog just spent the whole time talking with her friend--the whole time! The dog on the other hand could not do anything. It was obvious that inside the gated house the dog must have been tied the whole day and this was supposedly his time for exercise. However, the person tasked to do the dog walking is busy chatting with a friend. I could almost hear the dog saying "This is supposed to be my walking day..huhuhu...." The dog's face was so pathetic for it looked like it was thirsty and tired of listening to the two girls' conversation. Do you let someone else walk your dog?

I am the one that always walks my dogs. If my neighbors aren't home, I let my dogs run free. (don't tell my neighbors that, though) I feel bad for dogs that are cooped up all day long. My neighbor and I have got in arguments about my dogs running around in their own yard. Needless to say, his dog is fat and just lays around when I see it.

Do you mean you let your dog run in the yard?Do they come in to sleep,ot they out all day? That could be risky. In our area we have raccoons and skunks,so it is better not to have them live outside.

Our dogs are free to run around our own fenced in-yard. They are safe inside our fence and we do not let them go out. I don't think there is need to walk them since they have much freedom to fun around our fenced yard.

I don't let anyone else walk my dog. I'm not nearly as rich as your neighbor and I'm also very attached to my dog so I'd rather do it. Walking someones dog is so easy and if you like dogs probably somewhat enjoyable. I'd tell your neighbor if you feel comfortable. Its not fair to her or the poor doggy. If the dog walked really wanted to chat with his friend that badly I don't understand why she couldn't of just walked with him. Its not like she's obviously doing anything anyways.

I think she has an agreement with this other lady to have a chat every time she is supposed to walk the dog.

It seems those dog's owner should be careful who is "walking" their dog! If I were you, I think I would have told that house help to go walk the dog. I wouldn't let anybody walk our dog, unless it is a trustful person. We love our dog so much and we wouldn't accept anybody to do any harm to her.

Yes, she looks lazy and is not into doing her task.
