Are you serious about Voting Next Year?

To be honest, am not.. Besides, it's just the SENATE, and some congressman and municipality officers who want to run again. besides, most of them are part of the political family, which is not supposed to happen. Even with Richard Gordon, though i want to hear his platform first. but i remember he made a bill into a law that is now being advantageous to the beggar children that can't be arrested and instead goes to DSWD. though he made a lot of good laws, but i think he still needs to prove a lot more and Stop being arrogant. or I am just confused..maybe I shouldn't since am not working offline and don't pay tax. i don't wanna feel guilty later on to a vote that could make me feel guilt if the person i voted for screws up.

I still have to decide whether I will vote or not. In truth, I am actually tired and disappointed how our political system goes. It seems that people are always on the losing end. The assets of most politicians balloon to overwhelming proportions as soon as they are elected for a position but if you look at their own towns and communities you will notice the lack of improvements. Laws that should have been passed decades ago are still waiting for deliberations in both the congress and senate. If I am going to vote, perhaps, Gordon will be on my list. He was actually my choice for president with Fernando as VP but my decision was severely affected by the tide of sympathy for our current president. It is still a few months before election and I will let you know when we get closer to the date.

Hello Yahnee, Reminds of that politician who offered meal to Former GLoria Arroyo that cost 20 million pesos, but his district is one of the poorest in the region. same goes with the ampatuan, so rich family but their community is very poor. I will try to listen to RIchard Gordon and see what new stuff he had for this election.

Me, Letran, even if i don't like some candidates, i will still do my right to vote. In our city, there are some politicians that i really like to vote again, because they have done great things for our city. As to the rest, i still have to think, who to vote .

If we don't vote, then we would have given the abusive ones a blank sheet to manipulate our very lives. We don't like that to happen, do we? It must never be a question of must we vote or not. The candidates might be foul and stinky, but amongst those listed might be someone who can still make a difference. Again, choose the lesser evil. But it is our civic duty and our inalienable right to vote.

Hello Simplyd, Yes we have the right to vote, but be reminded that if they are not good then don't vote for them. if you think you have benefitted from their services along with so many people then that's good. for now, i can't think straight on who should deserve mine.

Honestly too, I do not care. I do not care if I will vote. I do not know what to choose because the faces of politicians are all the same in our country. They all look like peso sign. I do not trust them anymore because I can't see what changes they brought up, all the platforms they were discussing before the election of 2010, where are they now? All the promise are promises still. I will be wasting my time falling in line in a hot summer day because that is the Month of May, I rather sleep at home and spend my holiday with my pets however I still need to vote because I am a citizen of this country and I still want to hope there are people in politics that can able to clean this country, am I joking? am I really hoping? I think I will vote but it will be hard on my part to vote for the politician I trust because there is no one. Sad.

Nor I never seen any of the debates, for sure next year there is lot of it, but I will not waste my time, all of it are scripted and part of the drama that they are trying us to believe. I am still thinking if I will vote or not.

Hello grecychunny, If you are not sure even after the intensive debates and their campaigns, then there's no point for you to vote for them. besides, you have the power to decide for that one vote. we have to be smarter now compare before because it's gonna cost us our children and future generations to come

Hello Bhabycatch, hehehe i don't want to depend on how much they will pay me but how good they are in terms of helping others. the one who knows how to do public service is some one i can vote too. paying me proves they are not good enough and will not do well when the time is right. well, it's still far off anyways.

Hello LK! Let us still exercise our rights as a citizen even if there are lots of not so good things that is happening in Philippine politics. Let us give our share to be heard and do little thins in our own way to be heard.

Hello Bluspygirl, I know what i did back in 2010, i did my part but i guess i wasn't hard enough to convince them otherwise. some of my fellow supporters and campaigners suffered discrimination or even taunted for supporting other candidates whom they believed not winnable.

Knight, the Law on Minors was penned by Pangilinan, that is why he is never ever going to get my vote again. He turned children into criminals, and up to now, he contends his law was alright. Honestly, I am in a dilemma also about who to vote, it's the same old names, same old vultures and crocodiles. But our vote, collective, is the voice of the people. And of course, the voice of the people is the voice of God. Vox Populi Vox Dei Let us do our part, pray that good candidates are there, study their profiles, choose the lesser evil. Every vote counts.

Hello Eileenleyva, I had no idea about that, should have realized that it was proposed by some one else. well, since it's not the Presidency, i won't vote for any one else next year. except listen to platforms of gordon, depends on what laws he proposed to create or kill. well, for entertainment purposes, i will watch but voting is a different thing for me.

Hmm....I'm still waiting for the line up for presidency to be completed. I will definitely exercise my right. I still have to be watchful of them before concluding my bet.

I am in serious doubt. Too many familiar names but young faces. I don't see too many changes happening in the near future. I haven't experience a change that will convince me to participate and vote. All I see are politicians vying for the attention and my vote. There might be no reshuffle in local positions and the senate. If there is no compelling argument for me to vote, I doubt that I even want to participate. I'm just tired of voting and seeing no result of that vote. I know that voting is important but it if boils down to the same old routine, what's the significance of voting anyway.

I only vote in presidential elections. I have never known enough about senetorial elections to bother.

Hello PointlessQuestions, maybe I should not vote next year. I did the same thing you did back in 2010, just the President and the Vice president, who seemed to be more competent than the rest of the candidates. besides, even if they are the best there is, some one else should be having amend the constitution and have laws better benefit our people.

Even if I agree that screw-ups might be voted in Senate again, it's still my right to vote. I think I just need to be careful with my choice and check the platforms and track records of the candidates.

Hello Pheenkeesh, Yes they might and it's really sad that this is happening to the country again. always choose the best by reviewing them, never fell for the short basic answers. there's one in particular that i know of that has good track records, but i think he has retired in making laws, instead he should have been President.
