I saw this article on FB and thought this was worth a share! I know a very few of you are in Girl Scouts but I thought some of you would appreciate the friendship mentioned. This is so heartwarming that after 72 yrs someone found the time capsule and was able to locate several living members of the original troop from 1940! Even better a few of them actually still get together every now and again. http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/girl-scout-time-capsule-brings-memories-flooding-back-o278u3i-175085621.html

Wow, that is amazing! To think after all those years the women are still good friends. Also, good to know that the owners of the house went through with the Girl Scout Troops wishes! Thanks for sharing this article!

I was a Girl Scout until 8th grade. My sister was all the way through school. She went to college and majored in a subject to go to work for the Girl Scouts. She worked from the time she graduated in 1980 until about 2000.

That's so GREAT! I loved the article and then read a few more... Makes you kind of remember that what goes on in your little town isn't the end all and be all of the world.

That is so cool....I have to read the article...I bet some of them had even forgot that they had buried it. My kids buried one in our backyard someplace. I don't think anyone remembers where its at! LOL

That is so sweet. I bet those ladies hadn't thought of that time capsule in years. Amazing that it was there for so long!
