Hello Friends I have noticed that dieting is quite common word in almost all family these days. I mean these days I am meeting families in which at least one member is following some kind of dieting plan. And surely they are reducing lot. Now I have come across few people who were telling that dieting plans are not successful thoroughly. Actually they were saying that one can reduce the weight using it but person is not going to follow that kind of dieting plan in his/her whole life. Well, that's true. so after crash dieting or something like that people tend to get even more weight, that's what I heard too.. So now again confusion... I mean so no diet plans are successful. The only way to reduce the weight successfully is EXERCISING. What you think on it?

Sadly, it is all true If we start a diet to lose excess weight, then we have to follow it almost until forever and we have to combine exercise with it too, as the fat will not just drop off by itself. We have to exercise our whole body too. Just limiting it to our fingers, forearms and brain while Lotting, even if we do use skates, is not enough We have to get up off our butt and walk, run, hop and skip - and none of those activities allow us to myLot simultaneously

I should have known that you would have come up with something modern that would have been able to help in this situation! Hey! Maybe you could get in touch with some firm who makes them and suggest that they add that as part of their promotion line. I'm sure that the majority of us are getting larger since the internet was born and could make use of something similar so that we could combine the two. Being able to be online would make exercising less of a chore for many of us too

Yes, you are absolutely right. After the suffering for a month or two depending on the person who is so very dedicated to diet, it will only just for a moment and the habit of eating too much and a good appetite will come back to a person. Food discipline and exercise should takes place to be able to be successful in dieting.

Hello.. Yes, I guess people should mix them, otherwise only diet can turn the things back to past in future. Only exercising is tuff, I mean it will ask for hard work... If we mix them we can reduce fast and steadily..

There has to be a combination of dieting and exercise. The intake has to be less than the ewnergy you spend. Unfortunatly, many of us lead very sedentary lives for a lot of reasons. So exercising is not that easy for many

Hi Marguicha That's true. Many of us may living very busy life. But still I think everyone can give at least half hour for this work. And yes they should do it, as it is good for their health and life. Money is important so we are doing lots of work for it, so health is also important (even more than money) so why not to workout for it too.

And why does my b'rather want me to go on a diet I have always been so very bony and skinny that I have always looked sick. No matter what I ate or even today what I eat, nothing helps me gain weight. At 38 I am still weighing less than 50 with a waist line of 28 Now shouldnt that give those skinny models some jealousy Anyways, seriously, I do believe it is mostly about the Body construction and what is the metabolism in that body. For me, I have never been on diets - except the horrible ones these past years because of my illness and medical prescriptions. So I might not be the right guy to tell you or anyone more on this Dieting thing

There are tons of diets in this world. But in my opinion most of them are not worth trying. Remember, every person is different, so what might work for one person may not work for another. There is a diet, I forgot the name of it, that actually is tailored to the individual. That seems to be the way to go.

That's true.. And also nobody is going to do that diet for their whole life. So maintaining that reduced weight is quite hard. If they fail weight will be gain again in no time. So better we mix up some regular exercising with proper diet, so it will give better results.

That is correct. We do have to exercise in order to keep the weight consistent. Other wise we will wind up gaining it all back.

Its a new fad of new generation. Now days it is a kind of fashion too. Sometimes it helps when you go to some body and whatever the food served is not liked by you then you can easily avoid taking it by saying that you are on diet and nobody objects or feel sorry.I don't believe all this. Whenever i have any digestion problem, simply i make fast for full day, only a cup of tea and a glass of water. No food items whether light or small. Another day i am quite normal.

Hi Diet surely helps to reduce the weight in fast speed. But in few cases I have noticed that they gain the weight again when they stop dieting, and also no one is going to diet for whole life. So it is much more better to go for diet with some exercise, which will give good results for sure. And also later on we can maintain that weight with exercising. And yes walking is surely best way to stay fit.

It's true, crash dieting won't work. Besides, dieting depends on age level and physical ability. Younger people easily lose weight with diet alone, or just plain daily exercise. But with older people as metabolism gets slower- exercise and diet sometimes doesn't work effectively- unless it is followed with strict discipline.

Hi Jaiho I have seen few cases here where dieting helps them to reduce the weight, but when they left the diet and start eating again like their old habit, they gained even more weight than before. So yes better do proper exercising with proper food (by avoiding junk food and all that). I think mixing both of them will give much better results than following only diet.

That's cool.. In that case you are lucky that you can eat all the things without any problem. Well, I know few people who can't eat more (their favorite dishes) just because their body gain fat much faster than others... Well, I guess its all up to metabolism.

Hi AKP, Dieting does not mean that one start eating less though it means one should keep an eye on what he/she takes.His/her diet should not include fats which increase weight and should include fruits and salads.Physical workout though is good to lose excess weight.

Hi SJ Good to see you after long. You are quite correct on that. But many people goes for crash dieting by avoiding almost all food, even healthy food too. I was talking about them. They always used to gain that reduced weight again when they stop dieting. The thing you are saying is perfect. That's the proper dieting in which we should avoid the food which is unhealthy and gives more fat. And with that some exercising will always help us to lose that weight.

Hi anand, just find in your profile this topic. It made me to stop and answer lol. I am not just a strict follower in diet as like charted out. But I used to advise to have a few of the quantities which are said to be avoided. Actually our body needs all the vitamins, minerals, blah blah blah. As science advances, we are getting those nutrients in packages which I wont accept or recommend to anyone at any time. It cannot replace the naturally available at any time. In that way having dieting plans wont be good. It is good only when taken for some problems, but not for cosmetic purpose. Unfortunately many are following to show they are beauty, lol

Ha ha.. Yes many people are following it for that only. I have seen few people who go for crash dieting but when they have stopped it they gain that weight back.. So maintaining is hard. That's why I think better to go for healthy diet with some exercising. As you mentioned that some vitamin and other things are important, better not go for crash dieting.

That' right dear akp- If some one goes for crash dieting he/she may find immediate weight loss but if that is not planned or under the dietician's supervision that may prove harmful in the end. If it's not kept on regular way the person may have more weight than before.

Hey Suni Good to see you. Yes, that's true. I have seen few example too in this thing. Those people have lost quite more weight by crash dieting but now they are more healthier than before. So that's why I think crash diet is bit troublesome thing if we don't do it properly or do it without exercising.. May be people should mix them.

Dieting is one of the best way to reduce weight. The persons who are suffering with obesity is doing various options to reduce their weight, dieting is one among them apart from it they are doing exercises, going to walking and jogging do lot of house chores and hard work to reduce their weight as well as try various medicines and take treatment to reduce the excess weight. There is nothing wrong in food control and take proper diet to reduce our weight, but we must follow the diet strictly and don't give it up. If we missed the diet, we may get some excess weight due to it. Exercise is a great solution for weigh reducing, some people are going to gym and spending lot of money for this weight loss. Also this kind of people will take various treatment and medicines to get slim body. The short and sweet way to reduce our weight is doing all our work own and give physical activities to our self. This kind of physical work will burn the extra calories. There is nothing wrong in doing house chores and help our wife to reduce her burden. This kind of house chores are great exercise which gives more work to our body and reduce the excess weight naturally. The weight loss medicines may give some side effects, so we must avoid taking medicines for weight loss. Some natural remedies are available to reduce the weight we can try them. Doing house chores will give physical exercise to our body without going to the gym. It is the cheap and best way to lose our excess weight than any other things. However if you are interested in dieting or doing exercise, you must follow it strictly and never give it up for any reason. The breaks may give some unwanted side effects.

Hi! I'm all for exercising in order to loose weight. Cause for me, in order for dieting to be successful you'll need lots and lots of self discipline and control over food which in most cases, when you control your food intake, it would just lead to feeling of self deprivation which would only lead to lots of food intake the next time you eat! Thus making you gain even more weight! But with exercising, not only you enjoy yourself with the program you choose, but you'll also loose weight But come to think of it, exercise and dieting goes hand in hand. so in order to be really loosing weight and be healthy, you need both :)

Hi.. You are quite correct on that. Even I have noticed that after crash diet when people start to eat, they just forget the limits and keep eating more and more. And because of that they gain even more weight than before. I guess maintaining is quite big task after such diet.. But yes exercising with diet will surely give much better results in compare of only diet.

Hello As you said you having normal body structure not skinny and not fat either. That means you don't need such dieting plan. And if you are trying to be regular in practice in jogging than it is perfect, no need of any kind of dieting if someone is doing regular jogging. It is the perfect way of maintaining and reducing. About breaking rule, I can understand. Surely following any dieting plan is quite hard, especially when someone eating some delicious dishes in front of us.

True, EXERCISE is very important. We need to get active at least 30 minutes a day. It doesn't have to be a crazy exercise, even a brisk walking will do. It will be better if we combine several days in a week (2 or 3 times) with a strength training. Lifting weight/working with resistance training will improve the muscle tone. But, it doesn't mean that we can eat whatever we want. Not a diet, but watch the portion. Once in a while, we can have a treat, but not everytime. No crash diet, but still watch out. Combine this with exercise, it will do the maintenance. Crash diet never work. When we do crash diet, the body becomes in a state of hunger. When the body detect this, it will automatically slowing down metabolism, and store fat for future use of energy. When we come back to eating normal, the body still function the same way, store the fat. At the end, we will gain weight, more than we lost. That's the science that I have read. Crash diet won't work. Crash diet is the same as yoyo diet.

Hello That's the perfect. Surely crash dieting is not the right way, but its not mean we can eat whatever we want. Healthy food can give perfect health to anyone, while food like junk food will surely increase the weight. So we just need to handle our eating habit. And yes we don't need heavy exercising. Daily walking habit is good enough to have healthy body. But we need to be regular on thing.
