Today I went to Target to see if I could get a few more things to send my boyfriend for his birthday. He's deployed to Korea for the army and unfortunately, I won't get to spend his birthday with him or even the holidays this year. His birthday is on the 19th of this month and I'm sending a package tomorrow so he can hopefully get it by his birthday. Yesterday I got some of his favorite hand sanitizers and some body wash from Bath and Body Works and today I went out to find some more stuff. I got a few things from the dollar section along with some other things. This is what I have: Bath and Body Works stuff a flannel t-shirt for a new video game coming out Cowboys & Aliens dvd pack of mini cereals-trix, cocoa puffs, lucky charms, etc sour gummies sour patch kids animal crackers starburst lifesavers gummies white chocolate covered pretzels lol and some floss because I'm sending so much sugar and itunes gift cards I even talked to his roommate about getting a cake for my boyfriend's birthday and he agreed to get one and I'll just send money in the package to pay him back. I'm really excited to send this all out and I hope he gets it in time for his birthday

Yes, to me he is very good looking. He's doing a good thing being in the army. It's just hard sometimes to be so far apart and without him all the time. I hope he has a nice birthday even though he's halfway around the world.

Thats is so neat of you. i know they lack things like that when they are deployed. Once in the usa we made up 500 of these care packages to sent to army in iraq. Im sure he will be very happy to get it from you. Take care there.

He's deployed to Korea and he's been saying that they have a lot of the american stuff there that he can buy. But I got him some things from here and a lot of candy just so he can have something for his birthday. I know in Iraq and Afghanistan the soldiers can't get any of that so care packages are perfect ways to get the necessities and some treats. I'm sending it out tomorrow so he can hopefully have it by his birthday, I'm just not sure how long it'll take. I'm excited for him to get it because I think he'll be really happy to get something from me.

Oh, that's so sweet! I'm sure he'll love it! My boyfriend may be gone for training for the holidays/my birthday this year, and I'll be deployed for the holidays/my birthday next year, and whenever it comes to gifts, I always wanna get something big, special, and something of great significance. I forget that just the simple things like snacks and floss and favorite hand sanitizers may be all he needs. That is really really sweet of it. :) Hopefully he gets everything in time!

I'm the same way. When it comes to gifts I always want to get him something nice or something that's special and has meaning. Before he left I got him an ipad and this year that'll be his big birthday and Christmas present. Even thought I already got him something, I still wanted to send a package for his birthday just so he knows I'm thinking of him. I think he'll love all the little things and he'll be happy to get it. If your boyfriend is gone, maybe you can make up a package of some of his favorite things and then also a nice gift to go along with it. It definitely sucks without them but putting together the package today has made me feel a bit better and I'll be doing the same thing for Christmas. This past year for my birthday he was in basic and I couldn't even talk to him. He left May 15th and my birthday is on the 25th. He was in processing for 9 days and the last day he had his phone was right before my birthday. He wished me a happy birthday but the next day on my actual birthday just wasn't the same. I kept waiting for a call that I knew I would never get. For my next birthday, he says that he'll be taking his leave from Korea then and coming to spend my birthday with me. I won't say it's easy spending holidays without apart from the one you love, but there's things you can do to make yourself feel better. If you ever need to talk I'm always here :)!
