Make-up For A Change

Up to the time I turned twenty, I never use make-up or any related beauty products. I am not really the type of person who will spend time fixing myself in front of the mirror. But since I am now in my final year of college, I know I need to learn how to apply make-up to look presentable during interviews and on the job itself as I am working in the hospitality industry. I am thinking of starting to go to school with a light make-up. The problem is i don't know anything about the latest trend in make-up and the must have brands. I am thinking of buying from Oriflame and Avon. Any good suggestion on which brand of make-up should I use as a first timer. You can also suggest on eyeshadow, powder, foundation and lipgloss.

It's good to hear that you started using make-up in a mature age, sometimes training yourself to put make-up in a young age can cause some problems when you are mature. Early exposures to cosmetics can lead to early wrinkles or other aging effects when used at a very young age. However, on the aesthetic side, it has proven and indeed a good way to maintain good physical attributes and enhances self-confidence and makes you look more decent when you are wearing make-up. It can also, pull the desired look that you want to achieve.

You're absolutely right. Make-up can be a cause of skin problems. And it's actually weird to look at yourself in the mirror after removing a heavily applied make-up. That's why I decided not to use make-up until the time that I really needed to do so. But I also agree that make-up can boost your self-confidence and I think it is now the right time for me to pull a decent and more attractive look.

Yes, it does helps out boosting one's self confidence but nothing would beat up real beauty. Thanks for posting this discussion!

I used make up when I go to work and to some occassions. It is for being presentable. The make up I used before and noticed that it was good is Revlon, the foundation and eyeshadow are really good compared to other brands. As a starter, I suggest Maybelline and Avon. They are good too. :-) Have a nice day!

I am biased of coarse since I sell Avon but I sell it because I like to get it for myself and it is cheaper for me this way (I also have two teenage daughters so it goes fast in our home) There are videos on the site. Go to http://shop.avon.com/shop/product_list.aspx?newdept=&s=BeautyTips&c=repPWP&otc=ColorStudio&bnd=1&level1_id=300&level2_id=301&pdept_id=316&cat_type=B&setlang=1&ym_mid=&ym_rid= There is a virtual makeover tool as well so you can "try on" the makeup before purchase.

Hi friend, good to hear that you are not interested in make up previously and never wear any make up. Nature already gave a lot of beauty to women, this kind of artificial things don't give more beauty to you. Always i suggest you to avoid make ups and be simple

I personally like Mac make-up a lot. Its a little more expensive but it looks better, lasts longer, and is easy on my sensitive skin. One really nice thing about buying make-up from a place like the Mac counter is that they can help you with your problem. It is not uncommon for them to show you how to put it on or tell you what would look nice. Also by being able to try things on it prevents you from going home, looking in the mirror, and wondering why you brought that color.
