One day in our subdivision, we saw a couple both holding a DSLR camera and like discussing something. I was amazed that both of them owns camera. I just told to my wife that being a good photographer does not depend if you have high-end camera to capture images. Sometimes, it is considered as talent or lies within. In my case, I don't have a budget for now to buy DSLR so I used my digicam in taking pictures, make some editing to create good-looking photos. When I posted it on my blog, many asked me what type of camera I am using. Some thought that I am using a DSLR. Creating good photos does not really lie on high-end cameras but somewhat it help. what are your thoughts about this one mylotters?

good dslr lens and photoshop or lighroom skills makes a difference. Much better if you have control over the exposure triangle of you camera to make a composition better. Not really high end, It can be a point and shoot camera with Manual setting to emphasize the Depth of field in you photos.

I agree with you, sometimes the resolution of the capture photo is dependent on the camera you use. However, some that owns a DSLR does not know how to use its features and how to maximize the use because some don't know how to get a great subject and angle for their photos. i just used digicam right now and many where really surprise when i told them that I just use a digicam.

The camera can make a difference in some situations. I take action shots of High School sports and could not capture the action without my DSLR and some very good lens. I have captured some excellent photos using a small point and shoot. To get good photos you need to have an eye for the subject and you have to understand and know your subject. I get good action shots because I know the game and the players and can anticipate the action. A big camera gives you more options but you still have to have an eye for the picture.

I think you are right that you really need those camera for more intense pictures or for better pictures. However, you also need to have an eye for a subject and you also need to have some idea on how to make your photos stunning above the others.

Hello there! I like the thing that you said that being a good photographer doesn't mean having a high end camera. Being a photographer can capture the moment or thing that he or she like evn in any camera just like me. I lost my digital cam and I am using my cell phone for taking photos. Ofcourse it is still different to take pictures with a digi cam, but whatever, atleast I did had taken photos. I still wish to have a digi cam for me to take many quality pictures! :)
