I just saw a full Zumba fitness CD, and I'm really loving it. The steps were easy to follow, even for an amateur dancer like myself. I used to dance a lot when I was younger, some 15 years ago, but it's been too long and I have gotten rusty at it. But, I was surprised to see myself going with the rhythm smoothly. I'm pretty sure that as I use it a few more times, I'd get used to the steps and I could dance it perfectly. I now understand why a lot of people, especially women, got hooked to Zumba. I just love it, and I would have to fix my routine to still do Pilates a few times a week, alternatively.

Fitness Party - Zumba Fitness Party
I love Zumba. Every women love Zumba. Zumba exercise is Cardio workout by combining a variety of dance, can burn calories and lose weight, if done regularly while maintaining disciplined diet. Zumba Fitness is a development of the more popular cardio exercise two years. Physical exercise is done vigorously, light and easy, fun, with a variation of this dance. Especially for women who want a body shape and weight. Merging cardio and Zumba Fitness dance make a choice favorite sport, especially for women. Especially if you look at their impacts. Women love this energetic physical exercise because it can burn 750-1000 calories, depending on the frequency and duration of exercise. If the moves are done with proper technique, powerful, maximize results. The positive impact that can be directly perceived is feeling happy. While the long-term impact, the body more healthy and fit, and of course stamina was awake, with decreased body weight as a bonus. I always do zumba workout on Saturday and Sunday

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on zumba. Yeah, I really like this type of exercise. When I used to go to the gym before, and join aerobics sessions, I enjoy the dancing part - latin, belly dancing, hiphop, etc. Zumba is a genius' work, whoever introduced this to the world.

I am one of the worst dancer, very stiff. But I can do Zumba. First time trial, no problem, just move your body. Just don't care to be perfect, follow the music. The music makes you move. It is fun and not boring. After several times, you get the hang of it. Zumba is more fun than any other regular exercise. This is why people likes it. You don't really feel like exercise. But by the end, we sweat! Have fun! and keep Zumbaing.

I guess if one is too conscious about not being a good dancer, its better to do zumba with no or less mirrors in the room. That way, you just have to move without seeing how bad you look...lol

I also do pilates, I like its effect on strengthening and balance. It helped me a lot to regain my strength after I give birth. I felt so strong which I really need to take care of the two kids. I will be alternating the zumba for cardio and pilates. Do you think that would work?

For this specific type of exercise, yes NO mirror. But for other true weight training exercise, I like having mirrors. I can see whether my posture is right or not. Pilates are also fun. I find it unique in another way of exercise.

That's so true. It's really great to have choices, and find what's best for us. Before, we really have to go to the gym and join aerobics classes, which I think are boring, and then lift weights which is too tough for me, too. Im glad that there are cds now that we can just follow at the comfort of our own home.

I never knew about zumba just a week ago and I actually loved it at once. It was all simple and I was enjoying the way the moves are choreographed for the rhythm. :) I am also planning to join the zumba classes and learn some zumba and I heard that this is a fitness dance. So I am all geared up to sweat it out and use this dance as a great way of a stress buster to me!

It really would be a good stress buster because its FUN! I am totally amazed how they get to incorporate latin dance steps with modern or hiphop. And, its a lot better than purely hiphop or latin. I'm just doing this at home, by myself and with an instructional CD. But, Im sure its much fun with some company.

I have heard of Zumba a lot of times but i have never really tried it until last week. Below the building where Im working, they have a Zumba session free for everyone. We were just watching at first, me and my office mates and then suddenly, we mimic the steps and we really enjoyed it. Maybe, I'll try and purchase a dvd for myself and see if I'll enjoy doing it in a daily basis.

Im sure you will, but if that zumba sessions are regular, you'd be enjoying it more with other people. I got clear copies of a 7set Zumba Instructional DVD, for a dirt cheap price. But the copies are great.
