My Daughter is now a Soap Opera Fanatic

Oh my, what have I done?!?
We don't have cable or dish, so we're kind of stuck with whatever is shown on local TV. At night, while trying to fall asleep, we would tune in to this network and watch the series of soap operas shown, until we learned to like it and watch out for it every night.
One night, when I changed the channel, I was so shocked that my 4year old daughter complained and demanded that I put it back because she was waiting for this certain late night soap. She happened to like it because it has some comedy and very light funny love story. So, I just gave in to her request, because she seems to really like it a lot.
Is this bad?

wow...we actually have cable...and like yours, we have been stuck of soap operas coming from this local channel, particularly ABS-CBN...I even think of cutting out our cable subscriptions because we don't anymore watches cable shows.

We didnt get cable because when we were both working we dont really get a chance to watch tv a lot. But now that Im a stay at home mom, we might reconsider because I want my daughters to watch good movies for kids and not get hooked to soaps.

My mom was a soap fan. She watched days of our lifes for 20 years.
