A Simple Yet Unforgettable Story

I really admire movies who have simple plot and not so unique story and yet brilliantly directed and manage to pull the attention of the viewers. One of them is The Notebook. This movie is a typical story where the family of the girl hates the guy because he doesn't belong to the high class society. There are a lot of stories out there which are similar to this story. Even the blockbuster movie, Titanic has quite the same scenario except that it happened in a different setting. But what actually made these two movies special despite of having a simple, common story is the way they are directed. The way the actors and actresses played the roles made a difference and the unforgettable quotes and exchange of words made it so romantic that you can actually sympathize with the characters. After all, no matter how simple love stories are, it's the presence of love that matters.

Recently i watched the DVD of this movie though i have heard it is a good movie since long time. Yeah not a bad movie. But to me it is not a great movie as well.recently watched "The lucky one" a movie from the same producers, I liked it more than the note book. :)

When I first read the book, I cant stop crying indeed! I hope I can find my own Noah someday too. And the movie is also wonderful but i prefer the book because I get to work on my imagination and savor every line and every page.

Every wants an Edward Cullen in their lives but why would I want one when we have Noah? Don't worry, I know someday you will find your own Noah. I also prefer reading the book than watching the movie though I do both especially if I find the movie interesting. The book gives me a chance to use myself as the main character and to imagine my ideal guy as the leading man.

It doesn't matter how simple the story is, if it is well directed, everybody will love it. There are some movie that technically have a great, interesting story but are not well directed and the sequence of events are quite confusing which made the movie not worth watching.

I am a fan of those movies you've mentioned. Yes they were beautifully directed. The dialogs are clever. If a person watching it cannot sympathize then there is probably something in his or her ear. If we listen to the lines, being moved is inevitable.

I know. i'm not usually the one to get emotional when watching romantic movies but with this one, I really felt the agony and also the joy of both characters. The lines were also memorable and heartfelt. I'm not a romantic person but this movie touch my heart.
