Add to that, conservatives on here had been warning of Obama hitting the second amendment, guess what else was held back until AFTER the election, Obama is now behind the UN treaty to ban guns.

I don't know if your familiar with the group Queensryche, they had a song called Silent Lucidity....very profound lyrics but on line goes....or has it just begun? and the chords and words keep going through my mind over and over.

Is anyone shock? Tons of companies told their employees that if Obama got re-elected they were going to do layoffs because of obamacare and the tax increases. More people without jobs, fewer companies hiring.

So many mom and pop companies where I am at have gone out of business on the past few years. The few remaining won't last long. Time to tighten our belts even tighter. I know a lot of people just barely holding on. I don't know how much more they can take.

I'm actually experiencing a lack of words right now, over this and other things I've been seeing and hearing (same venomous sentiment from the left, shouting insults at conservatives, even with the election over and they got what they want).. I had hoped our fears would be ungrounded.. the stubborn tolerant optimist in me I guess!

Funny, the liberal mindset gave us 'political correctness' but most liberals don't abide by it, they only expect conservatives to abide by it.

Four more years...sigh. You know what really frosts me right this minute, though? All the snarky Democrat sore winners! It's not enough to just win--they're still kvetching! Yeesh! YOU WON, already, now go away! Maggiepie

Obviously--to the educated amongst us, but eventually even they will see they've been fooled...twice, no less. And it's perfectly possible he'll declare martial law, in order to stay president for as long as he wants. I happen to think, though, that he has his eye on a bigger "prize." I think he wants to run the U.N. It just gets better & better, doesn't it? Maggiepie

I seriously read in another discussion that one reason to keep a larger government is so that politicians would have jobs and not have to be unemployed. There's about a half dozen things I find wrong with that. But I understand some people believe employment to be a right, even if it's taxpayer-funded public-sector employment where no one is accountable and where unions can negotiate for whatever they want and willing politicians grant it. That public jobs are a right and that we need to keep paying people so they have jobs is something that can at least be argued. Even if it makes no sense to me whatsoever, there are folks who provide their arguments for it. I've heard it about politicians recently, as well as teachers, postal employees and others previously. But when it comes to folks losing their jobs in the private sector, it's usually spun as the greedy Mitt Romneys of the world at the top firing everyone to pad their own pockets. The reality seems to be that job opportunities are fragile, fleeting things. They can't be guaranteed. And the more obstruction a company faces, even if it's only perceived obstruction, that's a higher the likelihood is of people having to look for work elsewhere. Folks can argue until they're blue in the face about whether or not America's economy is improving or if it's stagnant or if it's getting worse. I don't care to get involved in one of those discussions with cooked, bent and twisted numbers to make a political point. The fact seems to be that America isn't a business-friendly as it used to be. (Not speaking about mega corporations in bed with government, of course, but rather small to mid-sized businesses and those large businesses without lobbying strength.) Some folks camping out at an OWS rally or sitting in their living rooms wishing they had the freedom to do so might pump their fists over that fact. But the regular folks without an axe to grind against the world just want jobs. They're willing to work. What a shame.

I'm past the point of wanting to convince anyone of anything as well. And you said what I've been thinking, I just want a job.

To think all these people that are losing their jobs so close to the holidays. It's just so said! Some companies that even had waivers for the healthcare/tax are even laying off people.

Because taxes are going up, regulation is escalating.

You know, you should also research and see what companies are hiring or planning to hire. But that wouldn't be much of a scare tactic. I really think these kinds of tactics helped loose Republicans the election and it's time for you guys to regroup and acquire some objectivity. This is a difficult economy and there are layoffs as there have been for years. There are also hirings which there have been for years. Life as you know it will not cease because the other guy won the election and those of us who voted for the other guy believe that we are a lot better off than we were in 2008 when the FDIC was brokering bank mergers to prevent their own collapse.

http://www.cenedella.com/job-search/fifty-companies-hiring-right-now-may-2012/ There you go, no problem. Looks like JUST enough to take up the slack from all the layoffs. That is IF those layed off have the skills these (looks like) high tech jobs require. I'm glad you like federal regulation, Obama has averaged about 28 new ones per day the last 90 days. Ask a small business just starting up what inhibits them the most, it is regulations.

Research in Motion have been failing for the last several years. They are the maker of the Blackberry which is a failed phone and it has lost because of Android and IOS. Oh and the economy is a little rough. Some companies think the economy is on the upswing and are hiring people and other companies are laying off. I am working for a company that believes the economy is going to improve. Another company within the same industry is not hiring and is in fact laying people off because they believe that this shopping season is going to be suppressed.

HI Deb. I just heard on the news tonight too that Ohio a coal company is laying off 150 workers. And I am sure more to come. A lot of the soldiers when they are returning from serving overseas in war zones are not being allowed to reup. So that is another whole pot of soldiers, and families being uprooted with not only a job, but losing the housing on the military base they were living in. Then we have all that has happened in New York and New Jersey and people are hanging on a thread. he is shredding the constitution one tear a time. It just seems everything up on the hill is totally divided. I guess all we can say is God Help US.
