I would take it you are talking about Coke the drink not the powder, but either way you can do it. I can stop drinking soda no problem but then again we get Diet Caffeine free which probably makes a big difference in being able to get rid of it out of your system, although if it is the Caffeine I don't think Starbucks will help much unless you are having a fruit smoothie. Good luck and take one day at a time.

Is your Starbucks caffeine free? Good for you for cutting out your soda. I'm trying to cut back on Coke. I love it, so it's hard, I know.

I was just thinking that because unless it's caffeine free it has the same amount of caffeine and sugar the Coke has.

Oh no!!! No coke!!!! I could never go a day with at least one coke. I no longer drink regular coke, I now drink diet coke. I have to. And believe me, you can not tell the difference. You are feeling jittery not because of the sugar, but because of the caffeine. It is a good thing that you stay away from all the sugar you can. And stay away from carbs as well, that will help with dieting. I know that because I did it. But the coffee should fill that void with the caffeine.

Well thats a good idea. And I did learn one thing through the years, it is that too much caffeine does cause headaches. The reason we think it cures headaches is because when we do not have enough caffeine we get them. But the water will reduce any dependence you have on caffeine. And sugar of course.

Coke is much cheaper than starbucks. I wonder why you decided not to drink Coca cola anymore? Was it for health reasons or what? You can share what you are going through?

Yeah I quit drinking coke for health reason because I knew it was not good for me. Yeah Coke is cheaper than Starbucks but when you we're drinking it as much as I was it comes out to be about the same. So right now I am going through withdraws from not having coke and I have not had any Starbucks in a while but I will be getting me one today because I am sick of the headaches from not having either one.

No coke and no latte means you are running short on caffeine. No wonder you are shaky and need to clear your head. I think your cold fruited drink from Starbucks sounds good, though.

Yeah I figured I was running short on caffeine I don't know what I was thinking trying to cut both out at the same time or at least cutting back on the lattes and quitting the coke. My cold drink was really good.

You are doing a lot better than I would ever be able to think of doing. You see, I can cut down the amount of pop that I drink, but I don't think that I will ever be able to give up soda completely. Right now, I'm trying to limit myself to one or two a day instead of the constant soda drinking that I have done in the past. I've finished the soda that I opened today and now I'm drinking Poweraide (this has been helping me to feel better since I was sick the other day).

Please be aware that you will have withdrawal from no caffeine. It doesn't last very long, but you may get a severe headache. Sometimes it's better to ween youself off of something like that than to go cold turkey.

Oh yeah I do and I know that is why but I am still getting a little caffeine in just not as much as when I was drinking coke. When I was drinking coke I was drinking one after the other.

Coke is not good though, I'm not a coke drinker also but I can drink sometimes but I cannot tolerate the 1 glass and the coke have many disadvantages that would bring into it. Drinking water only is a healthy ! :)

Yeah I know it is not good for me. I think it is why I am cutting it out. I have been doing pretty good about drinking my water. I just need to increase it more and I will be happy.
