Sharing my poem : Dance of the Dawn

Crisp is the air that is dancing around
Touching all creatures without making sound
Warm glowing sunbeams are piercing the sky
And covering the chill that surrounds you and I
Mother Nature's awake now and ready to play
She whispers her greetings and opens the way
With dew drops and wind gusts she touches our face
It's time to be listening and not time to race.
Breathe in the beauty as you exhale the night
So much to be discovered in this morning's light
Enjoy every second and every moment of the day
Let no hour escape you without blessing the way

How wonderful it is !Your poem gives us a vivid picture of dawn, where everything is full of life. The writing mirrors the writer. You are certainly the type of person that is full of spirit and effervescence.

Hmm. So this category is where you post your poems in myLot to get a response. I posted a sonnet (www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2717905.aspx) a few days ago and nobody seemed to notice. Maybe it's the election or something.
Anyway, I like the power of poetry to persist over time. It is so indestructible once it's written.

You need to be inspired to turn into a poet. And in my experience, being young and in love is a great motivator for turning ordinary mortals into poets. Without passion, there is no desire nor need for poems.
