what makes a triangle relationship?

Good day everyone 
Our university had a group of international students for programmes of ASEAN economic community not so long ago. A girl was quite interested in me. I have a girlfriend and I have no interest in starting a new relationship. Anyhow, my friends call it a triangle relationship. But I don't think it can be called a triangle relationship as I am not in love with another girl and we are not starting anything.
So what makes a triangle relationship? If there is a third person interested in one of the partner in relationship but the partner has no interest can it still be considered triangle? Or is it that there must be two real relationship going at the same time to be called triangle? Your thought please.

There is a triangle relationship if one who is having another affair while having a previous affair. Remember actions speak louder than words. Maybe you are showing differently and in intriguing manner even if you are denying the fact that you are having another or starting another affair. It's not a triangle if there is a loose end.

no it is not a triangle love or anything. it is just that the other girl feels for you and you can't do anything about it as you have a girlfriend and you have no interest in the other girl. all my love stories were like that the other person never came to know about them because it was one sided. So this other girls has one sided love towards you. It is not a love triangle or anything. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead..

Hello riyauro. Yeah, that is what I believed as well. a love triangle can only occur when I date two girls at the same time. If as long as there is someone who loved me is called triangle relationship, then there will not only be a triangle anymore.

Your situation I would not describe as a triangle relationship, only if you had feelings for this girl and were actually seeing her as well as your girlfriend then that would be assumed a love triangle, it seems you are loyal and faithful to your girlfriend which is good to hear. There is only two people in your relationship not three!

You did the right thing not to develop a third relationship with the girl interested in you. It shows that you are loyal to your girlfriend. I am sure that your girlfriend will be appreciated for your true love for her.
To my understanding, a person in two relationships going on at the same time is called triangle relationship.

In dating, the love is on the air. The moment of spending time with the one you love. It could be a make or break date, some people will just wanted to know the person they are dating of. Definitely, it would be unfair if the basis is physical attributes. For some men, it is a lot of determination to make it so wonderful especially for the first date. As they say, first impression will make it last to someone you are trying impress with. These are things you've done to win the heart of your girlfriend, but if you entertain other girls. Then this will lead to have two relationships, eventually it is called love triangle. Some people do this, but it is not good thing to do.
