Do you think those who opt for surgery instead of diet and exercise only, are selling out and taking an easier road to weight loss?

It's not. I have heard from this guy that after they have the surgery, the weight comes off. But then they have to start watching what they eat and to lose that extra skin, tough! It's a faster way to lose the weight but I don't think it's an easy weigh out.

For some people dieting and exersize doesn't work! I know...because I'm one of those people...it's extremely hard and it takes me so long to even lose 1lb...I'm not extremely overweight...but I don't feel comfortable with myself sometimes.....I don't think Gastric Bypass is the easy way out for some people....for some it may....like with any other life changing operation it has it's risks! A boob job for example is very painfull.... a tummy tuck also! And I think they all fall under the same category!

No way. I've talked to two people who've had it done, and it sounds absolutely horrendous. Dieting seems like the easy way out in comparrison to what they go through after the surgery.

having the surgery can cause successful weightloss in people who have tried everything and failed. its not an easy way out because the surgery can cause major complications. but anyone who does it is making a lifelong choice, from what i understand.

No because that surgery can be very painful, plus they still have to watch what they eat and exercise after the surgery to keep the weight off. I had a friend that had hteir stomach stapled lost the weight and gained it back and then had the bypass done lost the weight and no she gained it all back and some because she just ate.
