Broken hearted, it's finally come down to doing this.

With all of the trouble already in my life, having to finally make the heart breaking decision of putting my dog down in the next couple of weeks was the last thing I wanted to do. But I have no choice. For Jazz is suffering more now than ever. And it being almost winter makes life for him even harder. I found more lumps on him yesterday, including one that covers one of his eyes so he can't see. He doesn't eat all of his food, and if he does, he gets sick. So I called around yesterday to find a vet that would put him down for a reasonable rate, and decided to go with the vet that I got the cats fixed at. They have a reasonable rate and I know them pretty well now. By the end of the month, he'll be gone, which is very sad and difficult for me.

It is hard to get over of someone, especially if it was really touched your heart. The world will be upside down, all the pain can be felt. Eventually it will be fine, it takes time to get back on foot to face the reality.

Kris it will make you very sad, for a while, but you will realize it was for the best. You will begin to hold on to the memories of the healthy and happy Jazz. If you did not do it now, but let him continue to suffer, you would be sad every day, at every feeding, and would have no hope of Jazz getting better. It would be an incredibly long winter with him suffering a lot. You have made a lot of efforts to help him and it is now time to be kind to him.

Hey, kris....I feel so badly for and with you. I know exactly how you are feeling. I've had to do the same thing and more than once. I had been wondering when you were going to finally reach this decision every time you mentioned Jazz in a post/picture. I know it is difficult but we just can't let our babies continue to hurt. When the quality of life degenerates to this state, it is time. God bless you.

That is sad that you have to put your friend of Jazz to a forever sleep. From the way it sounds it will be better for him in the long run. Sends you prayers and hugs to get through this.. give him lots of love while you find away to do this for him. I know it is hard, but remember if you were in that kind of pain what would you want.. is how I deal with those kinds of decisions. I put myself in their place.. not always easy..

I'm sorry to hear that. Having to have that decision is a tough one. I hope all animals go to heaven.

I'm so sorry for the coming loss of your pet. Those of us who own pets will always dread the day that we, too, will have to make that same decision. I have two cats and lost one last week. I still have one left which helps with the loss. I hope you get help with the costs, but even if you don't I think that the money you spend will not bother you.

I understand what you are going through. We had a dog a few years back and had to do the same thing. But remember all the good times with the,. Make sure you make him as comfortable and happy as you can... his last few weeks.
