I was invited last evening to see the latest James Bond movie

I was never a James Bond fan although I saw all the movies when they came out. I didn`t even think that Sean Connery was so hot way back then and I think the man has aged to perfection now. Yesterday a couple of my friends invited me to see the latest James Bond film. I accepted it as an outing and told them we could talk about the movie at my home after the movie with coffee and yummy food. The movie had the worst plot of all of them, or better said, had no plot at all. The "bad guy" was just bad. There was no real motive behind his actions to give the movie a small amount of credibility. The stunt work and the special effects are all I would recomend about this film with cars racing, fires and lots of weapons. I think that I`ll pass on the next James Bond. I think that Ian Fleming, if he`d been alive, would look in horror at this film Did you see it? What did you think of it? There are more ways of looking at a movie, I know, so give me your impressions.

Really I'm laughing my head off right now" the bad guy was just bad" you really made my day with that comment! any way I was never very fond of James Bond movies so I guess I won't even bother to see the late one.

Well, you know, what I meant was that a movie should show a reason why people behave on a certain way. There should be a motitation and in a spy movie, the motivation has to be a clash between countries, I guess. I was never fond of James Bond, but saw all of them because it seems to be a must for men and my husband wanted to see them when he was alive. But I prefer Indiana Jones for instance and I am a fan of Sean Connery now that he`s older.

Spoiler alert: if you haven't seen this film, stop reading now. Ok We are alone. Did we see the same film? it had the best plot , Revenge. A rogue former agent makes the best bad guy. It was all personal. In fact he is my favorite bad guy.The funny part is I went to see the film for the toys and I liked the plot more. My favorite Bond is still Roger Moore because in his films there were get puns and great gadgets and Roger played Bond like he was in on the gag. He was light and easy. So when I saw the first Daniel Craig film I was disappointed but this one I liked a lot.

Daniel is nice to look at it but I still prefer Roger Moore. The best films with Roger Moore as Bond are Live And Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, And Octopussy.

You might find this funny but never in my 24 years of life have I watched a Bond film - I mean, prior to watching Skyfall. That probably explains why I wasn't disappointed with the movie at all. I seriously thought the movie was OK, but not as OK as other movies I've liked before. Perhaps the one thing I really liked about the movie was that it showed some massive weaknesses of agent 007, which, I know for sure is something older followers wouldn't like. I liked their stunts too and all other action scenes - they all felt almost real especially that one moment when Bond was shot while fighting with the bad guy at the top of the train. Seeing him fall was so real for me. LOL If I were to score, I'd guess I'd give it a 7.5 in 10, 10 being the highest.

Well I'm not surprised at all - most girls really prefer romantic movies over action films. Some girls watch action movies only because they've got a crush on the lead actor. LOL. I know a lot of girls who are like that! I agree that the movie was way too long, but probably it was necessary because of the content - but I would have preferred if they've made a deeper story involving Silva. I thought Silva in the movie was just quite a simple genius-villain who plots solely for revenge. Do you agree? I can't comment about Indiana Jones and Clint Eastwood films because I haven't watched any, but I have friends who go loco over such films - guess I'm not as big a fan on thrillers as they are.

I like good action films although there are few that I like to see over and over again (I have seen "Butch Cassidy" several times and I love it). What I did not like about this movie is that I was expecting something else. And the villain (Silva) was shown as an evil and narcisistic man, but not as head of any spy-like group. His motives to go against M were purely personal.

I have seen all the James Bond films when they came out and I must say none of them lived up to my expectations. In all cases I have been invited by a male. They would not like romance very much. In this movie I liked the stunt work and the action at the beginning. I found it very long though. But as thrillers go, I much prefer the Indiana Jones films and the early Clint Eastwood films. Still, the first movies were about spionage and this movie had no spionage plot.

Dear Marguiha In contrast to this discussion, yesterday or a day prior, I had stumbled upon another discussion which said this movie to be the best of all James Bond ones Personally, I have never been a fan though I have loved to watch the ones starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. I havent seen any starring the new Daniel Craig. So I am clueless about whether the movie is worth a watch or not. I am waiting for someone to upload it on youtube to watch it. I am quite lazy and also a bankrupt when it comes to going to the theater to watch a movie. Though there are some I would love to watch on the big screen.

I have seen many good thrillers in my life. They had the car races, the weapons and the good and bad people. What was different about James Bond was the spionage part. This did not happen here. And as for thrillers, the best part of this film was the beginning, but then I had to watch 2 more hours. I`d recommend it for watching it at home, later, no money spent on tickets.

Skyfall - Skyfall starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris
I didn't feel anything wrong with Skyfall, not the best Bond movie as it was Pierce Brosnan acted in but I didn't feel anything wrong with Skyfall. The villain was seeking revenge on M, Daniel Craig was good as Bond in Skyfall way better than the previous 2 Bond movie.

I always expect a spy film when I go to see James Bond. This movie was a thriller (and had some good parts such as the race at the beginnig) but I did not see a spy plot anywhere.

I go to the movies when my friends invite me. I don`t like to go to the movies by myself. So I have to see what they want to see. Sometimes it is what I like, sometimes it`s not so good. I`m usually content with my TV shows.

Sister I used to watch them in the cinema halls, in morning shows-10-1pm, or matinee shows, 3-6pm, but now all the 4 halls have shut down, the tv channels rarely telecast James Bond movies

I think that you should stick to your memories of those James Bond movies when we were young, Bhuwan. Now we ask more of movies (among other things). The best part of this very long movie was an awesome race on the roofs of a city. But the next 2 hours were too much. Where I live, a big city, all big theatres have turned into 4 or 5 small halls. I suppose that computing, blockbusters and hometheters have taken it over.

I took a day off from work to watch the James bond latest movie sky fall. I had just wasted my money and time. The movie is not at all worthless. The script even is not good. This will be the most pathetic James Bond movie that i ever seen.

I prefer many other thrillers I have seen. James Bond (the old ones) had a special thing because there was the spionage. But this film has nothing about that. I would not spend money in watching it in a theater.

I enjoyed the movie up to a certain extent. It was only that it has nothing to do with a spy movie. This was something else, more like a psychological thriller of sorts.

I had fun anyway because there are some good parts, specially at the begining. In fact, the begining of the movie is the best part and unfortunatly it is a very long movie. We came to my home after the movie and had coffee with goodies to eat. At this time of the year, there`s a special fruit bread you can buy (Pan de Pascua). I bought the best brand and we talked and ate

I watched the old james bond movies ,in which Brosnon was the hero, i really like the hero. I didnt watch the recent one. Is it so boring? I can enjoy the action part anytime.

If you like the action (there are some good parts, specially at the beginning) wait until you can get it for free. It`s not worth it to go to the movies to see it. It`s much too long and I`d have cut a lot of it.

I cannot remember that I have watched any James Bond movie before. While riding the RORO the other day, they put up a movie and yes, it was Skyfall. Watched the first few scenes and wasn't really impressed. It was more of a boring film for me. You're right, no plot at all. So, I slept.
