Well friends, I am not getting enough sleep these days at the night. In some nights i don't sleep at all. I have never faced such situations in my life before. Though i sleep late however i could sleep but now i can't. just paining my eyes but sleep doesn't come to me. I think reason is I am spending time with the computer too much time then it has affected to my sleep. What do you think guys? Addicting too much to the Computer is not good huh? I think i must start to read some books in the night instead of looking at the computer most of the time. May be you know explain this scientifically more than me. Like to get informed about it. Thanks

The computer did disrupt my body clock and sleeping habits. Since I preferred to use the Internet at the wee hours of the morning since the connection is faster, my body got used to the habit. Now, even if I want to have normal sleeping habits, I can't. I just don't feel sleepy on a normal bedtime and when I am able to sleep at a normal time, I usually wake up at 2 0r 3 am in the morning then I cannot sleep anymore.

The computer can definitely keep you up. Not getting any sleep is not the problem I think. It's wasting time on the computer.

No it affects. I searched about it. many people suffering from this problem who are being on the computer most of the time of the day. it is addiction later on it avoids your sleep. Solution is read a book that you are not interested in. :)

I used to stay up all night, on the computer, chatting, posting in forums and other stuff. I was addicted to it and could not stop. If I went to go to sleep, it was all I would think about. I think one of the things I needed to do was get away from it and not be on the computer so much. Part of it was, I think, not getting enough physical exercise and I was doing nothing but sitting and exerting no energy except with my hands. I do know at the time I was doing this all of the time with no sleep, I gained a lot of weight.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation but i know u must be feeling weak the next day due to lack of sleep. Yes u are correct, computer usage at night plays an important role in taking off your sleep. Even i have experienced the same thing before when i do not get sleep because i browse at night. after this i have stopped using computer at night and also the use of TVs. I prefer reading books or write diaries which helps me to get good sleep. What say?
