"Bloody awful?" It looks beautiful in that picture! The signal red paint will contrast wonderfully with the black tile, though.

Actually, the tiles are a dark grey but I suppose they do look black in the pic.

Oh, are they? I guess I need to get off my behind and recalibrate my monitor. It's been prompting me to for a couple weeks now. Please update us when you get it painted. I'd love to see the finished job.

I think that fireplace is awesome as it is. I would not change a thing. I think the wood is beautiful. It looks real natural. I hate wood being painted. I like it either stained or just with a coat of urethane on it.

hi janey its a lovely fireplace but that color is not, its just false and ugly/I think red would look really great myself.some may not agree with me but I think its going to be a showcase you will love. if we are wrong it c an be undone of course.but go ahead.
