Do you think that NASA and the governments of the world are hiding the truth

about life in space?
Could it be that life is teeming in space and the powers that be are intentionally keeping this information from the general populace, in order to enrich themselves? For all we know there could be a space federation as well as a universal council, maybe even space colonies on the moon and elsewhere’s. What is your take about this subject? ...

While I am fully able to believe that life exists somewhere else in the Universe, I don't think what you are suggesting is possible just form a scientific basis. The Universe is something like 14 billion years old and took many billions of years for solar systems and planets to form. The Earth is only about 4.5 billions years old and intelligent life on Earth is only a few thousand years old with any real technology only being at most a few hundred years old with space exploration and very limited travel, the moon and probes farther, only a few decades old. The closest Galaxy is hundreds or thousands of light years away. So even if there was intelligent life on the closest one, the chance of us having even received an indication of it is slim to none since intelligent life most likely would not have appeared there much earlier than here. And the odds are that life would be on planets in much farther away galaxies. So even communication with another life form is highly unlikely much less for them to be old even and to have lasted long enough to be able to travel here.

But stealthy you know as well as I do we really don't know. I have heard that we been here on earth for hundreds of thousands of years and some even say that we been in existence for millions of years. Some even go as far at to say that we had a high technological society before this one and they destroy themselves.
But, I understand where you're coming from it's just good to think outside of the box once in a while. Remember they thought the world was flat when it was round, who really knows. Government

As a scientist I go more by what science has discovered and proven than on what is just speculation or even religion. So while I do think that it is quite possible for there to be life and even intelligent life else where in the Universe, the scientifically proven time spans and distances and limitations make it extremely unlikely if not impossible for intelligent life to have made it to Earth from some other planet or for there to have been some advanced society that preceded us on Earth.

I am sure that there are many things that are not told to the population, not only about life in space, but about many things governments do. Take for instance the amount of classified information that the CIA (just to name one) has. It took them over 30 years to declassify part of the information about the role of the US in placing dictators in South America. I always wonder about intelligent life elsewhere. And I hope the are not as greedy for power as we are.

I agree, it took years for what happen to JFK in Nov. 1963. Many of us thought that it was just Oswald, but after all these years the truth is finally leaking out. So, there is know telling what they keep secret from us. I know that they (the governments) that rule over us knows more than what they let out. They the aliens, might be just as greedy this is where we may have gotten our greedy and deceitful ways from

cause there much hiding information in this world that we don,t know and not told in people or in news.maybe the government keep the secret.
and maybe that information become the secret,cause that information maybe its not 100 persen truth or it just theory and opinion

it could be possible that they have gathered some material from outer space which they can use for their projects here on earth, to be used for personal means or for military purposes.
