What ONE toy or special present does your child want this year? Are you going to get it for them?

ride-in rechargeable car - A ride-in rechargeable car for kids to ride
My son is really fond of cars and trucks and for Christmas and as a birthday gift (his birthday is on December 30th), I am going to buy him a ride-in rechargeable car. I really cant wait to see the look on his face when I present that to him this Christmas!

Honestly, there is only one thing that my children have mentioned that they really want for Christmas this year. That is these squishy brain and body science kits that they saw at Wal-Mart a couple weeks ago. This wasn't something that I had been planning on getting them for Christmas, but because of the fact that both of the children were so taken with these sets, I took something off of what I was planning to get for them and I've ordered these sets for them from Amazon (since I still had some gift card balance).

It's really cool to see what kids are interested in . YOu really never know... I remember one year my daughter wanted a tinkerbell rolling backpack - for preschool. She had seen it in the window at the mall and decided that's what she was going to put in her santa letter - she was 4. That's what was waiting for her under the tree lol. One of her good friends would totally love a science kit like that, we haven't figured out what we're buying for him yet. He wants a furby too, so maybe if my friend (his mom) doesn't want to get him one, maybe we can get him one and make it part of his birthday gift too. I am amazed at how quickly they are going out of stock, and they are not cheap!

my daughter didn't ask for anything special she wanted this year. Sometimes there is that one thing she must have and then there are other times when she doesn't really doesn't have something she must have. My husband buys her something every single time they go out together, so i can not even think of something she must have this year. I do want to get her an American Girl Doll. But that will be for my tax time gift taht I do every year for my kids. She is getting plenty of things already for this holiday

Heh. Back when Ali was super little and I still went to BabiesRus often because I had to buy diapers and wipes, my husband came along. I think she was like 17 or 18 months old, she roped him into getting her a ball! I told him 'this is why I don't bring you with us to this store ever'. LOLOL! Truthfully though, I'm really a toy nazi and I rarely buy things unless it's a gift giving occasion. I do let Ali buy stuff with her own money though if she wants.

LOL! Usually my daughter will ask for ONE thing specifically and that usually ends up being her santa gift. She's always been reasonable, she doesn't ask for iPhones and iPads and cars (she is almost 9) so that makes it easier. She does have a Wii so I just listen to see if there's a specific game she talks about that we don't have. My husband has a PSP but we don't really use it lol.

All I have heard about is the new Black Ops game that came out last week. I will probably get it for her but I will assure you that between now and Christmas her priorities will change a hundred times..lol.

How old is she? I went to ebay to find the Wii game my daughter wants... it's a pokemon/pikachu game and it's like 50 bucks in the store. I found it for about $12 online because I wait till the last 15 seconds of an auction before I purchase.

My kids want to have ipad or something but I think that they are too young for that crap, even me I don't have one. Thanks to the new technology of vtech and leapfrog we made a choice. I showed to my kids the pictures of this gaming thing, looks like really ipad but it intended for kids. Features almost the same as real ipad, it's just you cannot make a call withit. My husband and I already bought for them for Christmas.

I love the new tablets that are geared toward kids! I saw one online at Walmart that looks nice, it's preloaded with some games including angry birds and that fruit ninja one, it has a drawing app and an e-reader function. I am not sure if you can use netflix on it, that would be helpful, I think I can load music on it, the only thing I would like to add on a tablet for my daughter would be a stand alone text app so she can text me off it. I haven't bought one yet, if it's more functional than a Nook I think it would make a great birthday gift.

Well, I got one kid that wants an iPad 5 or iPhone 5 or something like that. Another kid wants a tablet or a bike. The last two I'm aiming for, but the ipad/iphone, I really doubt it.

How old are yours? Mine asked for a furby and fuzzies - footie jammies. I actually found a pretty cool kids tablet that I might consider in the future but she didn't ask for it yet.

I don't have a child yet, but one of my nephews wants to receive all the characters in the movie Toy Story. He already has Woody and Buzz Lightyear, but he still wants to have Mr. & Mrs. Potato and Jessie. I'm hoping we can give it to him before the year ends.

It's easy when you have an idea of what they like. I try to listen thoughout the year to see what keeps coming up over and over but sometimes kids don't talk about anything specific, and then it gets harder to figure out.

My youngest is almost three and all she wants is her own kitchen. The prices for them are crazy though. My husband looked up some patterns online to make one and found some great DIY kitchens to make so we'll be making her one.

That's really cool! My dad made me a kitchen when I was little.... everything, the stove, counter space, a fridge, a little table and chairs and a window with curtains in front of the sink. It was awesome . My mom sewed me little aprons which I wore in my play kitchen but also when I cooked with her.

Hi! I've been thinking of the Disney Mater Tow Truck as a gift for my son. He likes Mater much and always watch the Disney car movies. :-) Thanks for this.

The ride-ons are so fun! Most of the time we like to get the little ones noisy toys or things that light up, or ride ons.
