In the city of Liuzhou,China,a kind of orange has been widely grown in the nearly 20 years, and here in my county we call it Liucheng honey orange. This kind of orange originally grows in Nanfeng county of Jiangxi province, and they call it Nanfeng honey orange and its leaf is a little round.More than 20 years ago a new kind of honey orange was produced in my county and it has been planted here and there in the fields and on the hills for its high yield! Its leaf-tip is sharp and it tastes better than that from Jiangxi province.Tell me which fruit is mostly grown there in your area, please. Thanks well in advance.

Here we grow honey orange trees absolutely commercially, and that has made it true that there are too many oranges to export, and then they becomes cheap! So if you are brave enough to arrive here, you can carry away as many oranges as possible!

hello oldsix, here in the UK the climate is not warm or sunny enough to grow anything as like oranges. but we grow apples, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and pears, and that's pretty much the limit of what can grow easily in our climate.

Oh,no wonder the girl from Holand who once I met on a trip loved eating those green oranges! I've seen stawberries, but I haven't eaten any. Here there are lots of wild raspberries along the roads and on the hills, and they mature around the beginning of April.I often looked for them outside when I was a child.

Well,In different areas we can grow different fruits for different climates, but we cannot list them all.
21 Nov 12
yes. oranges are very easy to buy in the shops, but can't be grown without a greenhouse. I remembered after I left my last comment we can also grow plums, cherries and gooseberries, but its still quite a short list.

In my country which is in Malaysia, there are several types of fruits which are widely grown around the nation. Some of them are a type of bananas which is known as Perangan bananas. then we have the durian, dragon fruit, pineapples and so on which does not require a cold environment to grow as Malaysia is quite a hot place throughout the year. The kinds of fruits like strawberry, apple and orange are less grown.

Hi,there!Of course Lioucheng honey orange is not very special,it still belong to oranges and tastes the similar but it's sweeter than the others. I think most of the fruits that you listed here can grow in some provinces of my country such as Taiwan,Guangdong or Hainan.Have a nice day!

I live in England and it is a country with a temperate climate. We can grow fruit in the summer months including apples, strawberries, raspberries, plums and pears. The most common fruit is apple. We get oranges, grapefruit, lemons and limes from countries in southern Europe like Greece, Italy and Spain. The tropical fruits we have to import from overseas. Bananas are the most common of these.

China has the similar climate,so what you listed above mostly can grow in many areas of my country. But apple grows in the north of China, here in Guangxi province all the apples that we can buy in the market are from the north. And our honey oranges are carried there in the past one or two months.

Well, we in Italy, as far as I know, we do not have a particular type of fruit that sets us apart from other states. Fruit, we are able to cultivate practically everyone, especially those of European origin, to exotic fruits. I would, however, make a statement instead of a vegetable particular: Pesto The pesto is in fact typical of the area in which I reside. I'm from Genoa and throughout Italy that produces pesto, refers to the recipe of the classic "pesto alla genovese".

We have a vast production of Pineapples here in my vicinity, in Mindanao where it is the second largest and easternmost island in the Philippines. Pineapples scientifically known as Ananas comosus, is a tropical plant with edible multiple fruit consisting of coalesced berries, named for resemblance to the pine cone, it's taste is sweet and has been proven as an organic anti-oxidant and refreshment. Nowadays, the pineapple is widely known as one of the most popular tropical fruits in the Philippines and has been known for its large fruit production here in the Philippines (Mindanao), the second largest island in the Philippines. About one quarter of the total Philippine population lives on this island of which one third works in agriculture.

Pineapple's smell can be easily smelt when there are pineapples on sale in the market,I like it but I don't buy them often since they say pineapple's serum is bad to our teeth. I know most of the bananas here in the market are from the Philippines, and maybe the pineapples are also from your country.I hope all your tropical fruits can do good to both your country and mine.

The fruit that one can find in every season where I live is the pineapple. You can buy them in the market at any time of the year. Also, pawpaw is readily available although pineapple beats it to the top spot.

We have no big fruit farms like china but we do have varieties of fruits grown on small family plots. I know that china produces great oranges and my country is one of the importer of mandarin oranges from china.

Hiya six., They seem like what the English call Satsunas. We call here them Mandarinas or Mandarines. Are they similar to what I have known as bitter oranges before you could buy them but only in tins very sweet tangy taste? The Mandarines from here are sweet and not so acidy now as what they usually are. Here in Spain its mostly oranges the spanish ones and grapes are in quite a lot. Again they do export practically most of the fruit to other Countries and they leave us with transgenic things like tomatoes that have no taste sometimes one really has to be smart to distinguish one tomato or different fruit from another. I never buy polished apples for example I buy the ugly looking ones with brownish vein marks on those small ones they have more taste and are much more likely to be local as well. xxx

Hiya six, I knew that I had spelled that wrong they are satsumas but they are the same ones some pronounce it wrong and say satsunnas so that is where I got the wrong spelling from. At the moment the satsumas have the clementinas to do competition with them as well but I eat either and if they are a bit over ripe I just get all the juice out of them and leave all the outside skin and pith as you can get to choke on them. If the satsumas are really good you can chew and swallow them with no problem at all. Tangerines is that fruit that I was thinking about that only came in tins before bitter sweet tangy taste yum. Yes the uglier looking fruit the better like the potatoes that are growing roots on them and are not washed either. Tomatoes here are really awful the skin is so tough that I am having to peel the tomatoes right now to benefit anything from them. They ripen them way too quick but what can you do? xxx By the way nice to see we are still all around lol.xxx

I am not sure. But our oranges are smaller than the usual satsunas or mandarines, and they are sweeter, too. So here we call it Miju in Chinese, and it means "honey orange". Hehe, you are really good at eating fruits.Yes,nowadays almost many of the fruits on sale in the market are polished and it's hard to judge if they are good or not.I would buy those ugly looking oranges with brownish vein marks before I had my own ones and they were always more delicious.
