Rare nice customers on Black Friday

Encountering the few people who are genuinely nice and patient when it comes to us retail workers who pull shifts on Black Friday make the entire day worth it, in my opinion. Today I had to drag ladders out for several different customers to fetch items from high shelves and none of them really seemed to appreciate the effort I went through to do it for them (at one point I had to haul a ladder halfway across the store). One customer during my last couple of hours on duty asked me to get a ladder for him, followed me back to where I had to get it, and then volunteered to carry it for me! And then he even carried it back - he must've seen how tired I was after dealing with impatient customers all shift, so I thanked him profusely and told him that he made my night. He really did, since I was just so worn out at that point. Since I work in a big toy store, seeing a lot of the happy faces of children was also a nice thing, but cleaning up all of the toys they and their parents tossed around, not so much. Anyone have any good stories to tell about their Black Friday?

I don't shop on Black Friday since I like peace and that is no where near peaceful! Lol. But I am glad you at least had one nice customer. I am sure it is very exhausting working during this day. I have seen the craziness when they tell about it on the news and such. No thank you, not for me! Lol. I hope you get some rest and feel better tomorrow after a long day today. =)

Ahaha, Black Friday is definitely chaotic. The aisles were filled with toys that both parents and children had haphazardly discarded, so I spent a good chunk of my shift trying to get everything organized again. I'd love to rest tomorrow, but I have a shift until midnight! It's going to be exhausting, but at least I'm earning income.
