Dallas' infamous villian has died at 81 of throat cancer. I remember watching bits a pieces of the show when I was a kid though it was rare my Mother would watch that show. And if she did as a little kid it clearly wasn't my thing and of course found something else to do. I think they came out with a new version or a re-make of sorts of the show in recent years? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/24/larry-hagman-dead-dies_n_2180944.html#slide=1797606

I remember watching Dallas religiously! And loved Larry Hagman. He did have a long successful life. So he will be missed.

I was also a big fan of Dallas, what a great show, and Larry Hagman living to be 81 was a blessing, sad that he had cancer, he will be missed.

I remember watching I Dream Of Jeannie and he played Tony Nelson (whom Jeannie later married on the show). I did not really watch Dallas all that much. It is sad that all the greats are leaving us. I have not seen the new version at all.

I really enjoyed his work on Dallas and his guest appearances and bits in movies. He was a very talented actor but JR as the man we loved to hate was one of his best roles. The new Dallas is rather good and I enjoyed the shocking plot twist of the season finale. I hope it continues. I'll miss the character of JR but his TV son seems a good bet to step into those shoes. Hagman entertained millions and helped countless people through his charity endeavors.
