I'm really excited to come home after a year working abroad and we will be having our first family vacation during the holidays. We are also scheduled to visit my folks in the province and it will take several hours of driving. We plan to bring along the kids to meet their grand parents. But I was just thinking that they will be stressed because of the long travel consider they are both super hyper active, if you know what i mean. This will be our first time to travel together and I'm somewhat excited and worried about my dos gwapitos' behaviour along the way. How can we "contain" them inside the vehicle for long hours? I would love to hear from you, my fellow mylotters, share your own experiences travelling with your children.

Have no worries as kids usually have a storehouse of energy. Long distance will excite them more than the adults. But remember to bring foods and water as kids get hungry fast. Maybe you can play kiddy songs in the car to distruct them of the long drive. Have a pleasant journey.

That's good to hear, zandi. I should bring along their favorite cd's. Thanks so much for the tip.

I knew how exciting it is to meet the family members after long time and planning to travel with family is really good things you have done. By doing so this is sort of some changes we get being together and relaxing from all work. We feel tension free and do not think of anything but just to enjoy with family members. Even Your children and partner will be happy seeing you with them after long time. Enjoy the journey and your picnic
