Can't Sleep

I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a week now. Not because of work or anything like that. I simply just can't sleep. I have even tried going to bed early, but what happens is that I just lie on my bed restlessly. The most sleep that I have is like four or five hours, with waking up in between those times. I don't know why and I have tried all sorts of relaxation techniques, all to no avail. I don't want to drink any sleeping aid because it makes me feel lethargic in the morning. Anyone else out there having trouble sleep like I do?

I can relate to that. It always seems that when I try to sleep I end up doing the same thing. It can be an awful feeling for me though because I would need to get sleep while my daughter is sleeping. Instead it seems as if my mind is going a thousand miles a minute. I hope that you will be able to figure out a way for you to get your rest. Perhaps try some tea in the evenings before you go to bed, listen to soothing music, or something to that affect. Hope others are able to give you more suggestions that might work for you.

I did not experience such thing because i usually sleep early, i think around 9pm i feel already sleepy. and sometimes if it try to sleep early i just listen to a medley music and boom i just sleep right away.. ahaha i guess it is your hobby on not sleeping early that is why your body is used in that kind of situation.

I'm having the same problem every month. A week before my period, I can't sleep well. I'm only having 2-3 hours of sleep everyday until my period passes. I have done everything, like reading books to make my eyes tired, put some oil on my forehead to make me fall asleep, listen to sweet music, but all to no avail. Before I'm so worried because I'm anemic and not getting lots of sleep makes it even worse. But now I'm used to it.

I also have same problem before, but after taking the right food supplement I can say that I can sleep at night without any trouble now.

Oh my gosh yes! It's driving me crazy. It's almost like clockwork. I get really sleepy around 7 or 8 at night. I don't go to bed because there are things still that need to be done. Around 9 at night, I wake up. Then I'm wide awake for hours. I try to turn off the lights by midnight, but end up just laying there. After 30 minutes or so, I get up. I do some monotonous tasks for an hour or so, until I can't stay awake anymore, then I go back to bed. Just to wake up again. I can feel my toes. I can feel my fingertips. Everythig is hyper sensitive. This goes on til 5 or 6 in the morning. If it's during the week, my day has to start and I lost a night's of sleep. If it's the weekend, I go to sleep, but wake up in just a few hours - exhausted but unable to sleep anymore. Even when I stay up all night, it's hard to sleep for 8 hours at a time. It's hard to ever be really alert. I always feel tired.

Me - I am under a lot of financial duress right now, though, so I am preoccupied to the point of poor sleep. I think if you exercise regularly and drink plenty of water, it will help. Avoid caffeine and man made sugary treats, too. I have a tea called "Night night" tea. It is herbal and has lavender and chamomile. It knocks me out and its a difficult start the next day. If I took anything harder, it would be even worse.
